Jake Posey attended Texas A&M University School of Law, where he received his JD in 2003. While attending law school, he was a member of the school's Order of Barristers chapter and the National Order of Barristers, which is a national honorary organization that encourages advocacy skills and recognizes excellence in brief writing and oral advocacy. The Order of Barristers was first established at the University of Texas - Austin in 1965 and became a national society in 1970 after law schools in 13 regions formed chapters to recognize students for outstanding ability in advocacy.

2. Introduction
 To prepare for his entry into the legal profession, attorney Jake
Posey attended Texas A&M University School of Law, where
he received his JD in 2003. While attending Texas A&M, Jake
Posey was a member of the school’s Order of Barristers and
became a member of the National Order of Barristers.
The Order of Barristers is a national honorary organization
designed to encourage brief-writing skills and oral advocacy
through the sharing of resources and information. Members
are also recognized nationally for outstanding achievement
and excellence in advocacy.
The Order of Barristers was first organized at the University of
Texas - Austin School of Law in 1965 as a way of honoring
students who had shown outstanding ability prior to
graduation. The Order of Barristers was expanded to become
a national society in 1970 after law schools in 13 regions of
the country that participated in the National Moot Court
competition formed their own chapters.
