Whether you are interested in getting into shape or
   maintaining your level of fitness, you should consider
       seeking help from a personal trainer. They are
  professionals with expert knowledge in fitness training.
Their job is to create a workout plan tailored specifically to
  you to help you meet your personal fitness goals. What
 works for your friend may not necessarily work for you. A
                     trainer knows that.
The first thing a personal trainer will do is find out about
 your health. What they want to know is if there are any
conditions they should know about. Some even ask for a
   letter from your physician. They do this to factor any
  injury or condition you may have into the fitness plan.
Before any training starts, they will ask you what your
   goals are. This too is factored into the kind of fitness
training they will prescribe. The plan they recommend for
  a marathon runner, is different then for someone who
                    wants to lose weight.
Once they have come up with your own personal workout
plan, the fitness training begins. For the scheduled weekly
    sessions, your trainer will be by your side providing
motivation as well as assessing your progress and general
 well-being. One of the many roles your personal trainer
     performs is teaching you how to use the exercise
   equipment. They may ask you to watch them use the
equipment and then let you have a try, all while giving you
 tips as you go along. They know exactly how to use it as
     designed and how to achieve the desired results.
As you continue to work with your trainer, they may make
    a few changes to your training program. One reason
  trainers do this, is if you have shown improvement and
  need to move on to the next level. He also does this to
eliminate the chances of you being bored, and to keep you
                           challenged.
Your trainer will maintain a good balance in your fitness
 training. He will be sure to incorporate aerobic training,
 strength training, core exercises, stretching and balance
training. A good trainer will not overwork you. Sufficient
  rest is needed to allow your muscles to rebuild so your
  trainer will encourage you not to overdo it in the gym.
As he guides you through your training, your trainer will
also be keeping records. He will take note of the positive
changes that have come out of all your work and how far
  you have come in pursuing your fitness goals. You did,
       after all, hire him to help you achieve a goal.
