Danielle arrives at college hoping to start her own legacy. She befriends some students, including Melissa and Leo, but has trouble finding a potential spouse. With help from a crystal ball, she meets several suitors but clicks best with Gordon due to their shared interests. Gordon proposes to Danielle, and she accepts, allowing her to graduate college married and ready to begin her legacy with Gordon.

1. The Morgan Legacy II: School and Spouse by fireflowersims Danielle's years at college. Friendship, romance and legacy plugs galore.

2. Danielle arrived at college early the next day and took a good look at her new dorm. The campus was quiet so she had lots of time to think about what she'd do next.

3. Her excitement was slowly being replaced with nervousness. After all, founding a legacy was a serious business. She'd seen enough of them to know that the founders often faced poverty and difficulties, even if they did get a college start like she was about to. Could she handle it? "I don't have a choice," she muttered and walked inside.

4. She soon found herself in the main room, looking through one of her textbooks. She wasn't quite ready to meet people yet, but here she could observe them and decide who to speak to first.

5. But before she could decide, she found herself speaking to Virginia Jayapalan, who unceremoniously joined her while she was eating.

6. "School will be great," she assured her. "My sister and brother both go here, and they love it. You'll be fine." Danielle smiled hesitantly and started to let herself believe it.

7. The cafeteria proved to be a great place to meet people. She soon became friends with Melissa Kimbrell, though the friendly girl proved to have interesting opinions. They both watched and loved all the same legacies- their current favorites being The Fitzhughs, the Ten Caesars, The Pseudo Legacy, and The Squeaky Clean Legacy- but that didn't mean they thought the same about legacies themselves. "It seems like being in prison to me," she said flatly. "I don't see why anyone would want to do it."

8. Danielle blinked, honestly surprised. Most of the kids she'd gone to school with had loved the idea of being in a legacy, and De had mentioned how many people had wanted to found this one. It hadn't really occurred to her that some people would think it was anything but a great idea.

9. "It doesn't seem like that to me," she offered hesitantly. "I mean, it's hard at first, but they usually become successful." "If you say so." She grimaced. "I'm just glad I'm not the one stuck in them." Danielle nodded slowly. There wasn't any point in telling her the truth. Better to just stay undercover, at least for now.

10. When Melissa left, Danielle groaned and let her head drop to the tabletop. "Welcome to college."

11. Shortly after arriving at college , she met one other dorm member who she wanted to get to know better. She'd seen Leo Landchild around for several days, but had never gotten up the nerve to speak to him. Even so she couldn't help thinking, just from what she'd heard about him and observed, that he'd make a great potential spouse candidate.

12. When she did find herself speaking to him for the first time, the results were interesting to say the least. "So, um..." She was so nervous that the words just slipped out, "So why do you have blue hair?" Leo laughed, not nervous at all. "My ex-boyfriend suggested it. Thought it'd look good. And it does."

13. Danielle blinked. "Boyfriend? So you're..." "Gay? Yep." She wasn't sure whether to be relieved that she could relax now or disappointed that she'd have to keep looking for her future spouse.

14. Marriage was certainly on her mind. She certainly couldn't continue a legacy without it. And as the months passed and she didn't find anyone, she got more and more worried.

15. It even became reflected in her painting. She sighed at the small house on the canvas. "Well, I don't need a mansion," she muttered. "I grew up in one, and look at how well that went."

16. "I don't know what to do," she told Starla Hourvitz one day. "I've met lots of people, but none of them are the right ones. And I can't afford the matchmaker."

17. "You'd better do something." Starla had become her best friend, and was the only one who knew she was in a legacy. "I mean, you do want some descendants to haunt someday, don't you? You can't get that if you don't get married, or at least find someone to woohoo." Danielle laughed. "Yeah, that's exactly why I want to get married," she said dryly. "Hey, it made you feel better, didn't it?" "Mmhmm." She smiled. "I don't know what I'd do without you here."

18. One day, when she returned home from her final sophmore exam, she found a strange crystal ball waiting for her in the middle of the room. There was a note next to it, so she bent down and picked it up. Dear Danielle, This should help you find the right man to spend the rest of your life with. Good luck! - De

19. With the crystal ball's help, she met several men. There was Ravi Mythology, who'd been an heir in the Ancient Mythology legacy...

20. Edwin Sharpe, one of her fellow college students...

21. And even Tyson, the elven spouse from Grow Where You're Planted. But even though she got along with each of them, none seemed quite right for her.

22. Then she met Gordon Tellerman, and she knew why.

23. At first he was adorably shy, but then she stumbled upon the right topic to get him to open up. Science fiction. "And one day we'll be able to go to other planets. Aliens can already contact us, so it's only a matter of time before we can visit them on our own." He beamed, looking like a little boy. "I can't wait." She tried not to laugh. "It should definitely be interesting."

24. There was something about him she adored. Maybe it was his shyness; maybe it was that he was a detective addicted to science fiction. Either way, she knew that Gordon was the right guy for her.

25. "Gordon's wonderful," she told Starla one day, grinning. "He's such a sweet guy, and really funny. He said that he's a good cook, too, so I bet I'll get breakfast in bed once in awhile." The last was a joke, though she certainly wouldn't mind if she did.

26. "The question is, can he make good chili?" Starla said thoughtfully. "If he can, then you have a winner. If he can't, then you'll just have to go to Don's all the time." Danielle paused. "Isn't that a win-win situation?" Starla blinked, then smiled. "I guess so. 27. "I can't believe this is my senior year," she told Gordon as they ate in the cafeteria. She'd been too tired to go out, and Gordon hadn't complained about settling for macaroni. "Soon I'll have graduated." It still seemed like yesterday that she'd shown up at the academy for the first time.

28. "What are you going to do after school?" he asked. "I'm not sure yet," she admitted. "All I know is that one day I want my children to all go to college. They can't miss out on this experience." "Sounds good." He looked down at his macaroni and asked, "How many do you want to have?" She blinked, then thought about it. "At least three. What about you?" "Three sounds good to me," he said, a blush staining his dark cheeks.

29. The next night he came back, and she greeted him with a huge hug. "I'm so glad to see you," she said, smiling.

30. "I'm glad to see you, too," he said shyly. She was about to go inside when he tugged on her hand, keeping her still. "I know I should probably wait and tell you when we're somewhere fancy or something, but I can't help it," he said, stumbling over his words a bit. "I just wanted..." She watched him carefully, feeling her heart start to beat faster. "What is it?" she asked. "I love you," he said in a rush.

31. Slowly but surely, a huge grin spread across her face. "I love you, too," she said, and leaned in for a kiss.

32. It was of no surprise to anyone but Gordon when Danielle went down on one knee a week later. "I met a lot of great guys while I was here, but none of them were right for me," she said, watching as his eyes widened. "Then I met you and I knew why. I don't know if you want to found a legacy, but if you don't mind... I want you to help me with that. I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

33. She held out the ring that Starla had helped her buy and watched his shocked reaction. "Will you marry me?" she whispered, willing her hands not to tremble. When Gordon finally recovered enough to lower his hands, there was a huge grin on his face. "Of course I will!"

34. When she'd stood and handed him the ring, he gazed down at it in awe. "It's beautiful," he said happily. "It looks like one of the stars I see when I'm stargazing." Danielle had to smile. "I'm glad you like it."

35. "I love it." He gave her a huge hug. "I love you." She held him close, feeling her smile widen. "I love you, too."

36. Starla was strangely moody the next morning, even after hearing about Danielle's proposal. Danielle tried to get what was wrong out of her, but Starla stubbornly ignored her, at least for awhile. Then she finally snapped. "I don't want you to go, all right?" Danielle blinked. "But I-" "You're my only friend here, and I don't know what I'm going to do without you. I know you'll invite me over and stuff, but that's not the same." Starla abruptly pushed her pancakes aside and stood. "I'm not hungry. I'm going to go work on my essay." Danielle just watched in bewilderment as the girl strode away.

37. "So you graduated?" Melissa grinned. "Congratulations!" "Thanks," Danielle said with a smile. It still hadn't quite sunk in yet. She could finally marry Gordon and get started on the legacy.

38. "I'm going to miss all of you, though," she blurted out. Melissa nodded. "We'll miss you, too. Invite us over a lot, will you?" "I will." Danielle sighed. "I just wish that..."

39. "Starla's still not talking to you?" Melissa asked sympathetically. When Danielle nodded she said, "Look, the two of you are best friends. She's going to have trouble dealing. Just go talk to her before you leave. There's no way she'll let you leave on bad terms." Danielle nodded slowly. "Thanks. Can you do me a favor?" "Sure, name it." "Keep an eye on her? She's said that she doesn't have friends here, and..." Melissa nodded. "I'll become one of them. Don't worry."

40. That taken care of, Danielle finally went to see Starla herself. She found her at the video game that so many of the dorm kids loved. "I'm leaving," she said quietly. Starla's back stiffened. Then she slowly turned around.

41. Before Danielle knew it, they were hugging, like nothing had gone wrong. "I'm sorry I was such a jerk," Starla was saying quickly. "I just didn't know how to handle it, and..." "It's okay," Danielle promised, trying not to cry. "Look, I'll invite you over all the time. You can be godmother to my first kid. And we'll call, and email, and... I know it's not the same, but at least it's something."

42. When they finally pulled back, she smiled. "I love you, Starla. You're my best friend, and I'm so thankful that I stayed in the dorms. You made college so much better."

43. Starla hesitated, then smiled back. "Love you, too. And you'd better keep in touch, or else." Danielle saluted. "Yes, ma'am."

44. Ten minutes later she found herself reaching for the phone. This is insane. I've graduated, and now I'm going to marry Gordon... Why does it suddenly seem like everything's happening so fast?

45. "Yes, I'd like a cab back to the neighborhood, please?" she said into the phone.

46. Then she grinned, realizing that finally all her dreams were about to come true. "I need to get started on my legacy."

47. This is SimDe and Rhys Fitzhugh's son, Vaughn. Isn't he precious? *beams* Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I'm no fan of university, but I thought it'd make a good start for this legacy. So far I've played up through the first child of generation 2 being born, so I'm not sure when the next album will be out. Sometime in April, maybe?
