Meet My Designer is a crowdfunding platform for fashion designers that was founded in 2012. It allows talented designers to showcase their work and launch crowdfunding campaigns to fund new collections. The founders participated in Startup Weekend in June 2012 to test their idea. They received positive feedback from the startup community and worked on developing their website and branding over subsequent months. They launched a private beta in December 2012 with 30 designers and 1,000 items. In June 2013 they officially launched with 100 designers, 6,000 items, and several successful crowdfunding campaigns. They have since continued growing their network of designers and "Fashion Angels" who fund new projects.
