Maxenu is a village located in the plain area south of Buzau, Romania that was founded in 1812 when settlers belonging to the Orthodox Bishopric of Buzau settled there. In 1817, the Episcopate built the village's church. The village is located in the commune of Ţinteşti in Buzău county in the historical region of Muntenia, Romania.
