1. The Lahore Project
The Lahore Project is a citizen's initiative that has grown out of the strategic framework adopted by the Lahore Conservation society in 2006, and the experience of six years of activism under the banner of the Lahore Bachao Tehrik (an urban conservation movement). TLP goals, policies and strategies have been formulated by experts, drawn from various fields.

2. Our Vision & Goals for Lahore
An inter-active web-site and data-base, documenting and sharing information and connecting projects and programs that are independently initiated and managed by individuals, voluntary groups, non-government organizations, and institutions, who share a common vision, goals, policies and strategies.
•Embodying the principles of the Earth Charter, our cities should be centers of urbanity and civilization that thrive in a symbiotic relationship with its region.
•Conservation of our humanity and our environment and the realization of our highest human potential.
•Our humanity is defined by the universal set of qualities and values that define what it means to be “human” –qualities such as Love, Compassion, Justice and Beauty.
• Think globally, Act locally
While we may not always be able to bring about change at the global and regional levels, there is no reason not to act locally whenever and wherever we can.
A space for critical discourse and exchange of ideas and information on the history of our city and region.
Taking TLP to a wider public, including students, professionals and other citizens through workshops, seminars, conferences, print and electronic media.
Promoting and facilitating local actions that endorse TLP vision, goals, policies and strategies.
The Forum, Networking and Outreach programs of TLP are coordinated and managed by the Lahore Conservation Society, a non-government organization registered under the societies act.
