How does it work?
How does it work?
• The brain is made up of cells called neurons.
• The human brain may contain up to 100 billion neurons of
different kinds.
• Every second, a single neuron will send as many as 1,000
signals.
• The following are the three different parts of the brain:
a. Cerebrum
b. Cerebellum
c. Brain stem
Hub of the Nervous system
• As you breathe, move, and interact with your surroundings,
sensory nerves carry messages about what is happening
throughout your body to your brain
• Motor nerves relay signals from your brain to your muscles,
telling you how to respond
Brain Functions
Fascinating Facts
Fascinating Facts
• The nervous system runs on electricity, but the levels are
extremely low. Brain signals involve less than one-tenth of the
voltage of an ordinary flashlight battery
• You have an average of 70,000 thoughts per day
• You use your entire brain, not just 10% as is often rumored
• Your brain recognizes your touch, so you can’t tickle yourself
Fascinating Facts
Fascinating Facts
• The figure of neurons present in the brain is approximately 100
billion, which is about 15 times of the overall human
population on earth
• Dreaming requires more brain activity than any waking
function
Fascinating Facts
• Nerves on the right side of the body connect to the left side of
the brain
• Nerves on the left side of the body connect to the right side of
the brain
Conclusion
• The brain is a miraculous creation of Allah s.w.t
• It is a huge factory of thoughts
• Cannot be compared to any other form of electrical device
Computational Power
