Gandalf convinces Bilbo to join thirteen dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield on a journey to reclaim their lost treasure from the dragon Smaug. Along the way, Bilbo finds a magic ring that grants him invisibility and helps the group escape danger. They eventually reach Smaug's lair, where Bilbo discovers his weakness. Smaug is later killed by Bard, but word of the treasure spreads and leads to the Battle of Five Armies. Bilbo ultimately returns home after overcoming many obstacles on his yearlong quest.

2. EXPOSITION AND CONFLICT
 Gandalf The great convinces Bilbo to go on a miraculous
journey to find the lost treasure. Bilbo is accompanied by
thirteen dwarves lead by Thorin Oakenshield. The Heroes
must face many foes along their way. Their Main conflict
though is the fearsome Dragon, known as Smaug.

3. RISING ACTION AND CLIMAX
 Bilbo, at first, seems to be of no use to the dwarfs.
He almost got them killed by the giant trolls.
However after Bilbo finds a powerful ring that
grants him invisibility, he uses this power to save
his group from peril time and time again. The story
changed to better direction as they make their way
to Smaug’s lair.

4. FALLING ACTION AND RESOLUTION
 Bilbo enters the lair of Smaug and discovers Smaug’s weak
point. Smaug is slain by the Bard when he tried to destroy
the town. After Smaug is slain news of his death travels and
his treasure sought. This leads to the battle of five armies
and finally Bilbo is able to return home after a yearlong
journey. .
