A wizard named Gandalf visits Bilbo Baggins and invites him on an adventure with dwarves to reclaim treasure from a dragon. Bilbo reluctantly joins the dwarves on their quest, during which they face dangers like goblins and the dragon. Though the dragon is ultimately killed, there is initially a standoff over claiming the treasure before peace is restored. Bilbo returns home with a share of the gold and silver.

They set out, and get sidetracked. They finally reach the cave filled with the gold, and they need to kill a dragon. The dragon finds them and attacks a village. A man in the village kills the dragon. There is a stand-off between everyone to get the gold from the cave. Goblins invade, and there is a giant battle. Goblins lose, Bilbo goes home with lots of gold and silver.
