A boy grew up playing under an apple tree. As he got older, he returned to the tree four times asking for things. Each time, the tree willingly gave of itself to help the boy, first offering its apples to sell, then branches for wood, its trunk for a boat, and finally its shade for the man to rest as he grew old. The moral of the story is that parents will always sacrifice for their children, just as the tree gave all it had to help the boy at each stage of his life.
