Will Digital Currencies Break The Banking System? Harsh Chitroda
So, when we ask a question of how will digital currency affect banks? So, we can say that Digital currencies are likely to give central banks more insight into the movement of money in the economy. The widespread use of electronic payment systems may also aid authorities to crack down on money-laundering and terrorist-financing efforts. Or on the other hand, we can also say that the Banks are afraid because Cryptocurrency exchange is a non-banking transaction. and if the Cryptos gain favours it can disrupt the ability of banks to create money. If this disruption alarms the central banks, then they will do something about it.

Top 5 Cryptocurrencies - Recommended For Long-Term Investment
If you have no crypto assets yet, here are the coins I recommend for long-term holding, to make sure you end up making profits in time.
Although I am not giving financial advice, if I were to start investing
in crypto these days as a beginner, these 5 coins would be my picks considering each of the coins has a utility.
These coins will be around for the next 10-20 years at least. This means if you hold these coins for a long time, you will see gains as years go by. The longer you will hold these coins, the more money you will make, that goes without saying.

Our workshop on “Central Bank Digital Currencies – Do we need them?” is scheduled for the 29th of October. Our speakers’ panel includes business representatives, stable coin providers and representatives of central banks from Europe and beyond. Scheduled for the 29th of October, participation is open to all and the agenda as well as more details are available online!
By examining digital currency, we aim to better understand
the impact it can have on the broader payments ecosystem.
While the concept of digital currency was introduced more
than a decade ago, recent developments have accelerated
its adoption, such as the emergence of fat-backed digital
currencies known as ‘stablecoins’; a growing community
of developers building applications on top of blockchain based networks; and rising interest among central banks to
introduce sovereign digital currencies.
It is almost impossible to believe that Blockchain Technology or Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) has been around for ten years now. However, one key blockchain property that has transformative promise within the context of the public sector is the irreversibility or tamper-proof property. Once transactions or records are validated and entered into the blockchain database, they remain permanently inscribed and cannot be altered thereafter.

How will Bitcoin and Blockchains disrupt industries, such as banking, and create a wave of new machine-to-machine applications on nano-payments and autonomous digital corporations.
Digital Currencies- Block chain, Cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin Sai P Mishra
Digital currency is a money balance recorded electronically on a stored-value card or other devices. It exhibits properties similar to physical currencies, but can allow for instantaneous transactions. Digital Currencies like blockchain, bit coin, etherium are emerging and has great future.
Cryptocurrency is an internet-based, i.e. a digital currency which uses cryptographic functions to conduct the transactions. Blockchain technology helps the cryptocurrencies to perform decentralized transactions. These transactions are immutable and secure. The immune system of cryptocurrency exchange development is not controlled by the government and has no interference with any centralized body in it. The digital currency, cryptocurrency can be directly exchanged between the two parties via private or public keys. The transaction done in crypto includes very less processing fees and a wide platform to exchange the currency.
This paper aims to provide a foundation for anyone looking to understand the potential of digital assets such as crypto currencies as a future asset class.

Abstract:
With nearly six years of empirical data and use-cases behind the Nakamoto consensus method the community has observed that a cryptocurrency economy behaves differently than originally envisioned and intended. What has arisen from these half-a-decade of physical interactions is a nearly complete rollback of the primary attributes embodied within the first of these Nakamoto consensus protocols, Bitcoin – to the point where it may best to refer to it as Bitcoin-in-name-only (BINO). Consequently there are two other challenges within this existing BINO framework: (1) the diametrically opposed forces of speculative demand versus transactional demand; (2) decoupling coins from the ledger altogether. This presentation discusses several proposed solutions to the challenges currently being devised by a multitude of teams.
Lecture 2 for the MIT MediaLab Future Commerce course, delivered in Boston, MA on Sept. 20, 2016. In this talk, I discuss the Future of Money and how new technology like digital currencies and P2P finance innovations like bitcoin are going to change the very nature of money. We explore why money exists, the role it plays in our society, and how it shapes the way we interact with marketplace, markets, and financial infrastructure. We then outline opportunities to disrupt money itself with bitcoin and blockchain technology, and how entrepreneurs in the DCG portfolio are slowly changing the Future of Money.
Technological advancements in blockchain and cryptocurrencies have shown great promise for the possibilities in many sectors, but is it possible for energy-consuming technology to coexist, even further thrive with nature? We believe it can. More so, can these technologies enable us to push beyond sustainability to regeneration and to foster the growth of a more beautiful planet?

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:
