Friendship is defined as a pure, disinterested affection shared between people based on trust, sharing, complementing one another, and providing support and companionship. For the speaker, friendship makes them feel joy, love, company, happiness, and fun. They describe their best friends - their mom who is funny and a good advisor, their sister who is serious but an excellent friend and helpful, Luis who is shy but very funny, and Kimberly who makes them smile and is sincere and a beautiful person. The speaker concludes that friendship is an important value for society and the world needs friendship.

When somebody loses someone that is significant in their life they suffer a bereavement. This extends very much to the animals in our lives and for some people losing a pet can be more traumatic and upsetting than losing a fellow human being. For every person loss and grief can present an individual and unique experience. These slides accompanied a 1 hour webinar looking at how loss and grief can effect different people - the physical, mental, emotional and social reactions and implications that can be experienced during the grieving process.

Who is more vulnerable at these times and why? Participants heard examples of very strongly bonded relationships and had chance to share their own experiences.
