"The group’s work has been produced at theatres all over the country: at the Public Theater and the Vineyard Theatre (New York City), at Center Theatre Group, A.R.T. (Cambridge, MA), La Jolla Playhouse (La Jolla, CA), HBO’s US Comedy Festival (Aspen, CO), Studio Theatre (Washington, DC), and the Actors Theatre of Louisville (Louisville, KY) to name a few. Since making their first show with only “six dollars and a pack of gum,” the company has expanded ambitiously. Currently, they have their hands full with a diverse range of projects varying in topics and styles.

Review: ‘Gone Missing,’ Now a Poignant Reminder of a Life Cut Shortstevecosson
The two-night revival of “Gone Missing” at New York City Center is both a very good show and a very bad, very cosmic joke. Because this documentary song cycle is about loss: of minds, rings, a dog, the hour badly spent. And the irretrievable loss, the one you can hear in pretty much every plink and strum from the onstage band, is the loss of the show’s composer, Michael Friedman, who died a year ago from AIDS-related complications. Which makes “Gone Missing” an accidental and indispensable elegy.

The Naples Players To Present The Foreigner
NAPLES, FL -- The Naples Players will present The Foreigner, written by American
playwright Larry Shue, November 25 - December 20, in Blackburn Hall at Sugden
Community Theatre in downtown Naples. The production will be directed by TNP Artistic
Director, Dallas Dunnagan and veteran actress, Carole Fenstermacher.
When pathologically shy Charlie joins his friend Froggy for a much needed getaway,
he dreads having to converse with people he doesn’t know. The solution? Tell everyone he is
from an exotic foreign country and does not speak English. The result? Deep secrets and
diabolical plans are revealed in an outrageously wacky comedy.
Brett Marston stars as downtrodden Englishman, Charlie Baker. This is Marston’s
first main stage role with the Players, however he has participated in TNP’s ETC… Stage
Readings. Prior to joining The Naples Players, Marston played Serg in the Appleton Players
rendition of Art and as Pip in Bridge Theater Company’s, Three Days of Rain.
Playing the role of Staff Sergeant Froggy LeSuer, is Sepp Ronay. Ronay last graced
the Naples Players stage in The Mousetrap and The Importance of Being Earnest.
The role of Ms. Betty Meeks, owner and operator of the lodge in rural Georgia, will
be played by Paula Keenan. Keenan is a newcomer to Southwest Florida, having recently
relocated here from the Orlando area where she last performed in Arsenic and Old Lace at the
IceHouse Theatre in Mount Dora, FL as well as in Agnes of God at the Osceola Center for the
Arts in Kissimmee, FL. Keenan has also directed at the Shoestring Theatre in Lake Helen,
FL.
Playing the part of spoiled southern belle, Catherine Simms, is Amy Hughes. Hughes
recently sang in the ensemble of Oklahoma and played the role of Whitney in last summer’s
Legally Blonde.
2. James Duggan will play Ellard Simms, a simple country boy, and Catherine Simm’s
brother. Duggan is back on the Naples Players stage after his comedic turn as Gary/Roger in
last season’s production of Noises Off.
Jason Thomas returns to the stage for the first time in ten years as Reverend David
Marshall Lee. This will be Thomas’s first performance with the Naples Players, having last
starred in Killing Mr. Watson at both the Norris Community Center in Naples and at the
historic Smallwood Store and Museum in Chokoloskee.
Adam Shaver plays the part of Owen Musser, the racist county property inspector
who would enjoy nothing more than to convert the lodge in to a meeting hall for the Klu Klux
Klan. Shaver most recently performed with the Naples Players in Time Stands Still as Richard
Ehrlich and in the 2012 comedy, Moonlight & Magnolias as screenwriter Ben Hecht.
Theatre-goers should note that Wednesday performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. this
year. Thursday through Saturday performances start at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.
Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for students 21 and under, and can be purchased at the box
office, by calling 239-263-7990, or by visiting www.naplesplayers.org. Sugden Community
Theatre is located at 701 5th Avenue South, Naples.
