The first shot of Coraline shows a few credits including Production Company, who
presented the film and who its in association. The fact these credits are at the beginning
of the film shows that they are classed as most important.
The background music over the opening sequence is eerie to create suspense and

The second shot includes a button that is significant to the film and unusual
singing begins.
The third shot is of the first casting credit, after this a few more main character
voice-overs are shown in the same style.
The fourth shot is where credits begin to overlap the animation with more
showing at a time. The music also becomes more delicate which reflects the idea of a doll
being childish and innocent.
The fifth shot shows credits including the “art directors” with soft singing in the
background.
The sixth shot shows the doll with its button eyes took off, this idea is significant
within the film and also intrigues the audience as it is unusual.
The seventh shot shows the editors of the animation.
