Combining Cup-Saucer withHair bands Normally when I take Tea or coffee or any soft- drink, I like to take some biscuits or cookies with the same However, I would require two separate utensils - cup/glass and saucer for the same. Also, some times, I take my Coffee at work table or driving and space is limited for two separate utensils with an added risk of spilling the drink. So, I worked around this adaptation using commonly available things.

- 4. Combining Cup-Saucer withHair bands Here is my unique combination – Cup + Saucer with 2 hair bands (ordinary stretchable colored bands) and a few safety pins (big size). Through the next couple of slides I would illustrate how easy it is to make and use this connect and combine new adaptation to serve the purpose.
- 5. The Saucer, Safetypins and hair bands
- 6. Step 1 Take2 hair bands (one small and one slightly bigger) with firm grip Take a saucer which has a bigger diameter than the cup/glass and is slightly deep. You will need about 5-6 Safety pins. Connect both the hair bands with the safety pins (all the safety pin heads pointing outside the bigger band) You would get two concentric circles held together with these pins

- 8. Step 2 Holdthe hair band duo with the outer band (red) and fit it on the saucer carefully while keeping the safety pins straight
- 9. Step 3 Oursaucer is now ready to hold the cup Gently ease the cup in the inner band by slightly expanding it
- 10. Step 3 Orwe could have this saucer hold the glass. Gently ease the glass in the inner band by slightly expanding it
- 11. Step 4 Yoursnacks can be added to the saucer between the two bands holding the glass and the saucer The safety pins can act as separators for your snacks

- 13. Viola! Your Cup-saucer combinewith hair bands is ready which allows a single small footprint unit for your coffee or drink and snacks Prevents spillover by holding the glass/cup firmly Can also be used in a moving car

- 15. Note This isan original idea by me, which I use quite often at work and sometimes while moving in car. I have not as yet used this adaptation while at driver seat, but it works very well when I am at the back/side seat and the car is moving without spilling.
