The document discusses the concept of forgiveness through several examples and quotes. It describes Corrie Ten Boom forgiving a former prison guard who committed atrocities against her family. It also discusses Christina Aguilera writing the song "Hurt" about forgiving her father after his death. Matthew West's song "Forgiveness" is based on a true story of a mother who forgave the drunk driver who killed her daughter. The document provides insights into forgiveness from various historical and religious figures.

A New Algorithm for Tracking Objects in Videos of Cluttered ScenesZac Darcy
The work presented in this paper describes a novel algorithm for automatic video object tracking based on
a process of subtraction of successive frames, where the prediction of the direction of movement of the
object being tracked is carried out by analyzing the changing areas generated as result of the object’s
motion, specifically in regions of interest defined inside the object being tracked in both the current and the
next frame. Simultaneously, it is initiated a minimization process which seeks to determine the location of
the object being tracked in the next frame using a function which measures the grade of dissimilarity
between the region of interest defined inside the object being tracked in the current frame and a moving
region in a next frame. This moving region is displaced in the direction of the object’s motion predicted on
the process of subtraction of successive frames. Finally, the location of the moving region of interest in the
next frame that minimizes the proposed function of dissimilarity corresponds to the predicted location of
the object being tracked in the next frame. On the other hand, it is also designed a testing platform which is
used to create virtual scenarios that allow us to assess the performance of the proposed algorithm. These
virtual scenarios are exposed to heavily cluttered conditions where areas which surround the object being
tracked present a high variability. The results obtained with the proposed algorithm show that the tracking
process was successfully carried out in a set of virtual scenarios under different challenging conditions.

Chapter 1 of Grief observed
No one ever told me that grief felt so like fear. I am not afraid, but the sensation is like being afraid. The same fluttering in the stomach, the same restlessness, the yawning. I keep on swallowing. At other times it feels like being mildly drunk, or concussed. There is a sort of invisible blanket between the world and me. I find it hard to take in what anyone says. Or perhaps, hard to want to take it in. It is so uninteresting .I want the others to be about me. I dread the moments when the house is empty. If only they would talk to one another and not to me. There are moments, most unexpectedly, when something inside me tries to assure me that I don’t really mind so much, not so very much, after all. Love is not the whole of a man’s life. I was happy before I ever met H. I’ve plenty of what are called ‘resources.’ People get over these things. Come, I shan’t do so badly. One is ashamed to listen to this voice but it seems for a little to be making out a good case. Then comes a sudden jab of red-hot memory and all this ‘commonsense’ vanishes like an ant in the mouth of a furnace. On the rebound one passes into tears and pathos. Maudlin tears. I almost prefer the moments of agony. These are at least clean and honest. But the bath of self-pity, the wallow, the loathsome sticky-sweet pleasure of indulging it—that disgusts me. And even while I’m doing it I know it leads me to misrepresent H. herself. Give that mood its head and in a few minutes I shall have substituted for the real woman a mere doll to be blubbered over. Thank God the memory of her is still too strong (will it always be too strong?) to let me get away with it. For H. wasn’t like that at all. Her mind was lithe and quick and muscular as a leopard. Passion, tenderness, and pain were all equally unable to disarm it. It scented the first whiff of cant or slush; then sprang, and knocked you over before you knew what was happening. How many bubbles of mine she pricked! I soon learned not to talk rot to her unless I did it for the sheer pleasure—and there’s another red-hot jab—of being exposed and laughed at. I was never less silly than as H.’s lover. And no one ever told me about the laziness of grief. Except at my job—where the machine seems to run on much as usual—I loathe the slightest effort. Not only writing but even reading a letter is too much. Even shaving. What does it matter now whether my cheek is rough or smooth? They say an unhappy man wants distractions—something to take him out of himself. Only as a dog-tired man wants an extra blanket on a cold night; he’d rather lie there shivering than get up and find one. It’s easy to see why the lonely become untidy, finally, dirty and disgusting. Meanwhile, where is God? This is one of the most disquieting symptoms. When you are happy, so happy that you have no sense of needing Him, so happy that you are tempted to feel His claims upon you as an interruption, if you remember yourself and turn to Hi ...

Like many people, I struggle with procrastination. It is one of the more difficult "habits" to overcome. This presentation was the basis of a speech I did recently on the topic. The main source is an article in Entrepreneur Magazine written by Nadia Goodman (http://entm.ag/1hZDYbj) which focused on four simple steps to address procrastination.

We sometimes forget that key point in marriage. The pressures of every day life can impact the "fun factor" in marriage. That is one of the reasons why I pulled together this session around dating. So that we can learn together to be more intentional in developing intimacy & fun in our relationships.
This deck reviews some of the key elements from our previous session and focus on goals for the next date.
This material was pulled together from several sources, including the "Date Night Challenge 2013" DVD and Date Night material prepared by Ted Cunningham. I hope it is helpful to you in being more purposeful in bringing a "Laugh" (or two) into your relationship!
Presentation shared at District 45/Division G Winter Toastmasters Leadership Institute. I used several stock Toastmasters presentations, but modified them to make them more visually appealing and to stimulate discussion. I primarily drew from 290CD Moments of Truth & 1333CD Building on Achievement for Continued Success.

Make romance a priority in your relationship. This is often easier said that done. The job. The kids. The responsibilities. It can be very hard to make time for each other.
That is why I pulled together this session around dating. So that we can learn together to be more intentional in developing intimacy & fun in our relationships.
Unless you are a newly wed, sometime It can be hard to be creative. Yet most of us were at one time. When we were dating. When we got engaged. We will explore some approaches to get take back that creative side that has been dormant (or perhaps find one that was previously unknown! 😉)

Learning to understand our fellow members and leaders is one of the best things we can do in Toastmasters to maintain club membership. This presentation speaks to one of the most effective ways to accomplish that goal. While this deck was prepared for Toastmasters, it may be applied in many other business and personal environments.
This deck was presented at the Toastmaster's District 45 Fall Conference on Prince Edward Island, Canada on October 25, 2014.
Since the presentation, I noticed that TM has updated the survey with 2014 data. It can be found here: http://bit.ly/1FwRRoE

https://bit.ly/BabeSideDoll4u Babeside is a company that specializes in creating handcrafted reborn dolls. These dolls are designed to be incredibly lifelike, with realistic skin tones and hair, and they have become increasingly popular among collectors and those who use them for therapeutic purposes. At Babeside, we believe that our reborn dolls can provide comfort and healing to anyone who needs it.
The Healing Power of Babeside's Handcrafted Creations
Our reborn dolls are more than just beautiful pieces of art - they can also help alleviate stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. Studies have shown that holding or cuddling a soft object like a stuffed animal or a reborn doll can release oxytocin, which is often referred to as the "love hormone." This hormone helps us feel calm and relaxed, reducing feelings of stress and anxiety.
In addition to their physical benefits, reborn dolls can also offer emotional support. For many people, having something to care for and nurture can bring a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Reborn dolls can also serve as a reminder of happy memories or loved ones who have passed away.
Welcome to the Program Your Destiny course. In this course, we will be learning the technology of personal transformation, neuroassociative conditioning (NAC) as pioneered by Tony Robbins. NAC is used to deprogram negative neuroassociations that are causing approach avoidance and instead reprogram yourself with positive neuroassociations that lead to being approach automatic. In doing so, you change your destiny, moving towards unlocking the hypersocial self within, the true self free from fear and operating from a place of personal power and love.
2. -Corrie Ten Boom
“forgiveness is an act of the will
and can function regardless of the
temperature of the human heart.”
3. corrie ten boom
Her family hid Jews in their house in the Netherlands. The Gestapo found
the family out and had them sent to a Ravensbrueck concentration camp.
While at a church service in Munich, she came face-to-face with one of the
former Ravensbrueck prison guards. Corrie had just delivered a message of
God’s forgiveness and the former guard, not recognizing her, asked ten
Boom personally for forgiveness for the atrocities that he had committed. Ten
Boom struggled within herself and found that she could not forgive him, but
she quickly prayed and found the strength to accept his extended hand.
5. christina aguilera “hurt” backstory
Aguilera wrote the lyrics to “Hurt” in memory of her father. In
a radio station interview, Aguilera said she was sorry
because the last musical thing her father heard from her
before he passed away was “I’m Okay”, as song about how
she hated him for abusing her mother. She never got the
chance to say "I'm sorry, I still love you" before he died. The
grief caused so much pain that she wrote a song for him
telling how she was sorry for blaming him for everything bad
that happened in her parents' relationship.
6. “Hurt”Lyrics
Seems like it was yesterday when I saw your face
You told me how proud you were but I walked away
If only I knew what I know today
Ooh ooh
I would hold you in my arms
I would take the pain away
Thank you for all you've done
Forgive all your mistakes.
There's nothing I wouldn't do
To hear your voice again.
Sometimes I wanna call you but I know you won't be there
Oh, I'm sorry for blaming you for everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself by hurting you
Some days I feel broke inside but I won't admit
Sometimes I just wanna hide 'cause it's you I miss
And it's so hard to say goodbye when it comes to this, ooh, whoa
Would you tell me I was wrong?
Would you help me understand?
Are you looking down upon me?
Are you proud of who I am?
There's nothing I wouldn't do
To have just one more chance
To look into your eyes and see you looking back
Oh, I'm sorry for blaming you for everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself, oh, oh, oh.
If I had just one more day
I would tell you how much that I've missed you since you've been away
Oh, it's dangerous
It's so out of line
To try and turn back time
I'm sorry for blaming you for everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself by hurting you
8. matthew west “forgiveness” backstory
Matthew wrote this song based on the story of a woman named Renee.
Renee’s daugther was killed by a drunk driver named Eric, a 24-year old
young man. As a result of his crime, Eric was sentenced to 22-years in
prison. Eric was behind bars, Renee she felt like she was the one who was
incarcerated. She began to do speaking engagements about the dangers
of drunk driving, but she still had bitterness towards Eric. Finally, she
contacted him in prison and let him know she had forgiven him. Not only
that, but Renee and 11 of her family members asked the judge to allow Eric
to become free after half his sentence. The judge had never heard this kind
of thing and ruled that Eric could be released. Eric & Renee often speak
together about drunk driving impacts & the importance of forgiveness.
9. “Forgiveness”Lyrics It’s the hardest thing to give away
And the last thing on your mind today
It always goes to those that don’t deserve
It’s the opposite of how you feel
When the pain they caused is just too real
It takes everything you have just to say the word…
Forgiveness
Forgiveness
It flies in the face of all your pride
It moves away the mad inside
It’s always anger’s own worst enemy
Even when the jury and the judge
Say you gotta right to hold a grudge
It’s the whisper in your ear saying ‘Set It Free’
Show me how to love the unlovable
Show me how to reach the unreachable
Help me now to do the impossible
Forgiveness
It’ll clear the bitterness away
It can even set a prisoner free
There is no end to what it’s power can do
So, let it go and be amazed
By what you see through eyes of grace
The prisoner that it really frees is you
I want to finally set it free
So show me how to see what Your mercy sees
Help me now to give what You gave to me
Forgiveness, Forgiveness
10. –Lewes B. Smedes
“to forgive is to set a
prisoner free and discover
that the prisoner was
you.”
11. truth & reconciliation commission
When apartied ended in South Africa, the new government instituted a
radical idea, called the Truth & Reconciliation Commission. This project was
based the concept of insuring both justice AND mercy. Those who had
committed crimes under apartheid would come forward and tell the TRUTH.
Then, they would have the opportunity to have RECONCILIATION with those
who they injured. By approaching the incredible injustices in this fashion, it
allowed South Africans to move past the pain of the past into a more
peaceful future. While their country has still had challenges moving forward,
the fact that there has not been more bloodshed and violence is a miracle.
12. - Mahatma Ghandi
“the weak can never forgive.
forgiveness is the attribute of the
strong.”
13. mothers of 9/11 victims and attackers
In hindsight, Aicha el-Wafi can see that the warning signs about her son
Zacarias Moussaoui were present as he was growing up in southern France.
"If I had known he would end up with this group of wrongdoers, I would have
attracted his attention ... but I did not see it coming," said el-Wafi. Her son
remains the only man convicted in the U.S. over the 9/11 plot. Phyllis
Rodriguez’s son was killed in the 9/11 attacks. They met and become close
friends. Phyllis suggested that things were particularly hard on Aicha,
because no one has comforted her on her loss. Their story has lost a little
bit of its luster, due to the sense from Aicha that Phyllis is more interested in
publicity than she is in maintaining their friendship.
14. ruminating is
not the answer
Rumination is similar to
worry except rumination
focuses on bad feelings
and experiences from
the past, whereas worry
is concerned with
potential bad events in
the future.[1] Both
rumination and worry
are associated with
anxiety and other
negative emotional
states
15. the dangers of
rumination
1. creates a negative cycle that enslaves
2. increases chances of becoming
depressed
3. could raise possibility of alcohol abuse
4. greater chance of eating disorders
5. can create negative thinking
6. impairs your ability to think creatively
7. increases our psychological &
physiological stress responses that can
lead to increased risk of heart disease
16. two types of forgiveness
• Decisional—Deciding to not dwell on
the negative thoughts associated with
the person who has wronged you
• Emotional—Fully letting go of the pain
that was caused and forgiving the
perpetrator. This does not mean
approval of the act in question.
17. R.E.A.C.H. for
forgiveness
Recall—Review the suffering as an
outside observer, without resorting to
self-pity or blame
Empathize—Walk a mile in the
perpetrator’s shoes
Altruistic—Think about a time you were
forgiven for something
Commit—Make a decision to move
forward

20. “ThreeBeautifulWords”
Lyrics
Three beautiful words set the heart free
What might they be?
First Word is “I”
To Represent You & Me
Second Word is “Forgive” the third
Word is “You,” It’s True
I FORGIVE YOU
These are three beautiful words
We long to hear
Causing our tears
One has to be “I” to represent you & me
Two this time is Love, three is still you, it’s true
I LOVE YOU
These are three beautiful words
