The Convention was a two-day event on May 12th & 13th at Central Hall, Westminster, bringing the best minds from culture, politics and media to understand where we are, how we got here and what we’re going to do about it. Just one of the important topics discussed over this two day event was: Making the case for food. This slidepack was used to introduce the session. Agenda follows: Food is personal but should be political. Our current food system is in crisis – it damages our health and our planet, but there is a dearth of leadership. Does Brexit create the moment to pass a much needed Food Act? Why we need a Food Act: Startling facts and the impact of Brexit on our environment, health, children, inequality and jobs.
