(24) Karena barangsiapa mau menyelamatkan nyawanya,
ia akan kehilangan nyawanya; tetapi barangsiapa
kehilangan nyawanya karena Aku, ia akan
menyelamatkannya.
(25) Apa gunanya seorang memperoleh seluruh dunia,
tetapi ia membinasakan atau merugikan dirinya sendiri?
(26) Sebab barangsiapa malu karena Aku dan karena
perkataan-Ku, Anak Manusia juga akan malu karena
orang itu, apabila Ia datang kelak dalam kemuliaan-Nya
dan dalam kemuliaan Bapa dan malaikat-malaikat kudus.

• Ingin datang pada Yesus = ingin menjadi
muridnya
• Meaning: 1) to come 1a) of persons 1a1) to come from one
place to another, and used both of persons arriving 1a2) to
appear, make one's appearance, come before the public 2)
metaph. 2a) to come into being, arise, come forth, show
itself, find place or influence 2b) be established, become
known, to come (fall) into or unto 3) to go, to follow one
• 3 syarat menjadi murid : (1) deny himself, (2)
take up his cross, (3) follow Me

• 1a) to affirm that one has no acquaintance or
connection with someone 1b) to forget one's
self, lose sight of one's self and one's own
interests
• Denying personal control of our life
• Complete dedication and total obedience
• That is to disown, forsake, reject, restrain, or
simply do without.
• By saying “no” to myself, I am saying “yes” to the
Lord.

6. • Cross: a well known instrument of most cruel and
ignominious punishment, borrowed by the Greeks and
Romans from the Phoenicians; to it were affixed
among the Romans, down to the time of Constantine
the Great, the guiltiest criminals, particularly the
basest slaves, robbers, the authors and abetters of
insurrections, and occasionally in the provinces, at the
arbitrary pleasure of the governors, upright and
peaceable men also, and even Roman citizens
themselves

• Meaning: 1) to follow one who precedes,
join him as his attendant, accompany him
2) to join one as a disciple, become or be
his disciple
• Following example & teaching of Jesus

For whosoever will save his life
shall lose it: but whosoever will
lose his life for my sake, the same
shall save it.

Tuhan) menjadi prioritas utama bagimu?
• “Save”, meaning: to save, keep safe and
sound, to rescue from danger or destruction
one (from injury or peril ; to preserve one
who is in danger of destruction, to save or
rescue ; to deliver from the penalties of the
Messianic judgment;

relation to God
