5. Luke 14:25-33 NKJV
25 Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and
turning to them he said:
26"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his
father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers
and sisters -- yes, even his own life -- he cannot be
my disciple.
27 And anyone who does not carry his cross and
follow me cannot be my disciple.
33 In the same way, any of you who does not give up
everything he has cannot be my disciple.
6. “ALL OUT” meaning
Giving as much effort as possible; not
holding back.
'All' refers to everything, and 'out' is an
intensifier. So 'all-out' means 'everything and
more'.
7. “SOLD OUT” meaning
Completely committed, devoted, invested
and engaged to a cause. To have no
reserves about the decision you are making.
To be willing to go anywhere, do anything and
give up everything in order to achieve your
goal by any means necessary.
10. 1) Total Abandonment
25 Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to
them he said:
26"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father
and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and
sisters -- yes, even his own life -- he cannot be my
disciple.
27 And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me
cannot be my disciple.
33 In the same way, any of you who does not give up
everything he has cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14:25-33 NKJV
11. Total Abandonment
Abandon
[uh-ban-duh n] noun.
a complete surrender to natural impulses without
restraint or moderation;
The Greek word is apotasso, " 'say farewell (to), take
leave (of).' Figuratively, 'renounce, give up.' "[6] Greek
sees this attitude as basic. "
12. Total Abandonment
We see this attitude personified in some famous
disciples:
• Peter, James, and John leave their nets
• Levi leaves his lucrative tax collecting business
• Zacchaeus gives half his fortune to the poor
14. 2) Total Adoration
15. Total Adoration
Adore
a-dor/ transitive verb
1: to worship or honor as a deity or as divine
2: to regard with loving admiration and devotion
The Greek word is miseo, "hate, detest, abhor."[1] If you
take this literally, it is shocking.
16. Matthew 26:6-8
While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the leper,
a woman came to Him with an alabaster jar of expensive
perfume, which she poured on His head as He reclined at the
table. When the disciples saw this, they were indignant and
asked, “Why this waste? This perfume could have been sold
at a high price, and the money given to the poor.”
18. 3) Total Allegiance
25 Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them
he said:
26"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and
mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters -- yes,
even his own life -- he cannot be my disciple.
27 And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me
cannot be my disciple.
33 In the same way, any of you who does not give up
everything he has cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14:25-33 NKJV
19. Total Allegiance
Allegiance
əˈlējəns/noun
loyalty or commitment of a subordinate to a superior or
of an individual to a group or cause.
Greek purgos, "tower" or "farm building."[3] Before
beginning something of this magnitude, you must first
carefully calculate the cost. The Greek words are psethizo,
"count up, calculate,"[4] and dapane, "cost, expense."[5]
20. Total Allegiance
Jonathan said to the young man bearing his armor,
“Come, let us cross over to the outpost of these
uncircumcised men. Perhaps the LORD will work on our
behalf. Nothing can hinder the LORD from saving,
whether by many or by few.”
His armor-bearer replied, “Do all that is in your heart.
Go ahead; I am with you heart and soul.”
1 Samuel 14:6-7

23.
24. • Like the football members who were trapped inside the dark cave,
the people in this world who do not know JESUS are also trapped in
the darkness… nowhere to run… nowhere to wait but to DEATH.
• We as Christians need to be like SAMAN GUNAN, an ALL OUT-
SOLD OUT for the mission even it will mean sacrificing our own life.
• Saman Gunan left his family but for the mission (Total
Abandonment),
• He love the mission more than his own life (Total Adoration); and
• He wholeheartedly committed to the task at hand (Total Allegiance)
25. Conclusion:
How to let go of self-centeredness and be more
eternally-minded?
• Pray More, Fast More
• Be Honest with God
• Be Simple (Let go of comfort and materialism)
26.
27. Only one life to live
twill soon shall
pass only what is
done for Christ will
last.
Editor's Notes
The church today especially in America is experiencing a crisis has decreasing spirituality
the phrases “It is my life I can do what I want to do with it! I just want to be happy!”
America today has a cheap gospel with a soft savior has brought salvation without self-denial;
Crown without the Cross;
A world full of confusion and chaos that the unbelievers have no clue what is Christianity all about;
Dishonored God and Confused People;
Sowing faulty seeds that produce pitiful crop that we are reaping;
Spends hours watching television but minutes watching in prayer;
Embracing the world more than the Word;
Love to feast but hates to Fast;
Welcome God’s Message but Weary of its Burden
--- Dahil ito ang naging culture nila (NEXT)
Is it what Jesus have died for? Is this the people he gave up his life for?
Those who spend more time watching soap operas/ playing games than spending time with God has no right to call Jesus “Lord”.
Anyone who loves the world cannot not experience the love of the Father (1 john 2:15).
We say that whoever believes in me shall be saved but Jesus said that not everyone who calls me “Lord, Lord” will be saved but only those who do the will of my Father in Heaven.
So bakit ganito ang nangyari sa America? Honestly ang pattern na meron tayo ay galing sa western area.
SO WHY IS SPIRITUALITY IN AMERICA HAD DECREASED OVER TIME?
BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT…

Titignan natin ang meaning ng ALL-OUT AND SOLD OUT DISCIPLE
(NEXT)
This is strong word of the Lord Jesus that is calling all us to be an All-out Sold Out Disicples!
All out sold out disciples means.
(NEXT)
The distinctive property of disciples is the abandonment with which they put aside all competing securities in order that they might refashion their lives and identity according to the norms of the kingdom of God."[7]
You are a disciple you are willing to give up everything for the Lord.
We see this attitude personified in some famous disciples:

We see this attitude personified in some famous disciples:
Peter, James, and John leave their nets (5:11).
Levi leaves his lucrative tax collecting business (5:27-28).
Zacchaeus gives half his fortune to the poor (19:8).
BUT the sad thing is, may isa na gusto sanang maging disciple ni Jesus bat lumitaw lang na isa lang syang fanatic
-> The Rich Young Ruler is unwilling to renounce his wealth and follow, and goes sadly away (18:22).
Abandonment means
You have to live you old life behind, eto yung panahon na tinawag ni God si Abraham na inutusan sya na iiwanan ang lahat.

Jesus means it to be shocking, jolting, provoking real listening. Hating, detesting is not neutral. It does not mean ignoring someone. It does not imply disinterest. It means to actively despise. Yes, there is a Semitic sense in the Bible which some translate, "to love less,"[2] but I don't think that is the force of this statement. Jesus word is intended to shock and to challenge.
How can Jesus, who teaches us to love our neighbour as yourself, turn around and instruct us to hate our closest family members? This is the question in every heart that hears these words.
Jesus is using hyperbole, an overstatement in order to make a point with maximum impact. We've seen this before in Jesus' teaching style.
Itinutumbok ni Jesus dito na lahat tayo dapat ay wala tayong ibang mas mamahalin HIGIT PA sa ating Panginoon.
Another example ng adoration in the old testament
In Genesis 29:20 So Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her
Yun ang tinatawag na adoration!
Hindi mo na iisipin gaano kahirap, ano kailangang gawin, kung ilang oras o taon na ang binigay mo sa goal na yun for the cost
(NEXT)
Paano mo ba i-worship si Jesus? The woman with the alabaster jar

Allegiance – Panunumpa! – Commitment! Kung ano ang naumpisahan mo, tapusin mo.
Noong tinanggap mo si Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour sumumpa ka sa Kanya, with matching paiyak iyak ka, remember?
Naaalala ko yung verse na nashare ni Charles noon.
1 Kings 2:2
"I am about to go the way of all the earth," he said. "So be strong, act like a man,
You must be a man of integrity
Saman Gunan
Age 38
Thailand’s elite Navy Seal unit member, former Navy Underwater Demolition Assault Unit Member, Triathlete, a father.
so it doesn’t mean na retired na sya ay hindi na sya tutulong, he volunteered.
hindi sya naging self-centered, ang naging sentro nya ay ang kanyang goal. Ang ma-rescue ang mga bata, sya ay all out and sold out to save the lives of the children
He is a Christian!
Bilang mga Kristiyano hindi tayo dapat self centered, naka focus tayo sa calling natin. Which is saving of many lives.
Metaphor
Like the football members who were trapped inside the dark cave, the people in this world who do not know JESUS are also trapped in the darkness… nowhere to run… nowhere to wait but to DEATH. We as Christians need to be like SAMAN GUNAN, an ALL OUT- SOLD OUT person for the mission even it will mean sacrificing our own life. Saman Guna left his family(Total Abandonment), he love the mission more than his own life (Total Adoration); and he wholeheartedly committed to the task at hand (Total Allegiance) and by his example the mission was a success.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I can see that you are seeking to bring us farther along the journey. We want to walk at our own pace, free to take whatever side trails beckon. But you are insisting on being the Leader. It is non-negotiable. I've learned long ago that I can't rely on my own will and determination. I am weak. Today I call upon you afresh for help to follow you faithfully. Forgive my sins of willfulness and selfishness. Forgive my grasping at the props of the world. Forgive my flimsy excuses. Restore to me the full saltiness of one of your own. Have mercy upon me. In your holy name, I pray. Amen.
Let us put ourselves in the time when Jesus looks at the large crowd traveling with him today, and he says:
Your allegiance to me must be complete; every other allegiance must pale before it.
You must be constantly ready to die for me, if necessary, as you follow me.
You must count the cost before you start to determine if you are committed enough to follow me. If you realize that you aren't, then don't even begin.
You must give up everything you have to follow me.
You must retain the distinctive flavor of All-out, sold-out disciples.
