The document discusses the challenges of parenting in the 21st century. It states that parents have the sole responsibility to raise children in the fear of God and help them reach their potential. However, the challenges of parenting today are greater than previous generations. Some key challenges mentioned include mobile phone addiction, getting children to study, dealing with aggression, disobedience, lying, tantrums, sibling rivalry, confidence issues, and improper eating habits. The document emphasizes that every child is born with potential and it is up to parents to help unlock that potential through diligent parenting.

In 2011, Denton ISD partnered with the local United Way organization and Ready Rosie to form an Early Childhood Coalition. The goal was to reach all parents and community members with tools that would get all 0-6 year olds ready for success in school. We reached all 10,000 families with MOBILE video content that went straight to their mobile devices. This session will share the data and success of
that coalition plus resources that can work in any community.
This is a short talk delivered to parents of La Salle Academy's (Iligan City) Kindergarten pupils. Thanks to the invitation of Mr. Pendang of the Guidance Office.
For most teenagers, puberty comes like a runaway train pulling boxcars of raging hormones creating a powerful combination of physical and mental challenges. The process of teaching the kids about these changes in their bodies and minds can be daunting. However talking to your child about puberty, can definitely help them get through this phase of change. It’s a known fact that during puberty in boys and girls, they worry about being “normal”. Many children are seen to lose their self-esteem, as they enter adolescence much earlier than their friends. Others feel embarrassed when they realize that everyone has gone through it except them. If this is the case, hold on! Try not to dramatize the conversation otherwise, it can make things more awkward and uncomfortable for the teenage mind. The key here is “communication”. Talking to them about what they are going through is very important in helping them understand it’s normal.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

2. It all started with God.
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in
our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule
over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky,
over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a]
and over all the creatures that move along the
ground.”
27 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them; male and
female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be
fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth
and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and
the birds in the sky and over every living
creature that moves on the ground.”
3. Raising children is one of the
most important duties we are
given by God. According to Holy
books “Train up a child in the
way he should go: and when he is
old, he will not depart from it.
Parents have the sole
responsibility of raising their
children in the fear of God and to
educate them to unleash their
God-given potential.
4. Parenting, at its core, is about making wise choices in order to
prepare young men and women to be released into the world
as responsible adults.
“Successful Parenting” as a means to help encourage the
growth of healthy families, healthy neighborhoods, and healthy
communities.
Before you can make most if your parenting . you must
understand what parenting is all about
5. What is parenting all about
1. Call or services
2. It is a privilege
3. It is a responsibility
4. It will soon be over
5. It is a joint work
6. It cannot be delegated
7. You will give account
6. 8. It is rewarding
9. It is 24/7 work
10. It needs God intervention
11. It needs prayers
12. It needs investment of time
13. Needs firmness and fairness
14. Be consistent
7. GOD EQUIP EVERY CREATURE TO
FULFIL DESTINY
TRIUNE BRAIN
FORE BRAIN
MID BRAIN
REPTILEING BRAIN
8. Why diligent in parenting duties?
Every CHILD
is A potential
Genius
9.
10. Parents have the sole responsibility of raising their children
in the fear of God and to educate them sufficiently to
unleash their God-given potential.
The big question is “Are
parents sufficiently
equipped for this task?
The answer is NO.
11. Think of all the crimes, tragedies, wars;
we humans have suffered so far.
Then ask why these happened?
You will find that the single most
important reason behind these tragedies
is “Parenting Failure.”
REFLECTION ?
12. "Your child has entered this world equipped with a
super-computer that can be programmed to achieve
almost anything."
Yes, this is true. And it applies not just to your child,
but to every one of us also.
We all have what it takes to function at optimum level-
-to be the best student, to be the best in our career,
and to function efficiently in every area of our life.
13. Want proof?
See the wonderful things and systems around you: Personal computer,
Internet, Satellite, Spaceship, Mobile phone, Video conference, modern
health-care systems, development in biotechnology, and other millions of
wonderful things that make life easy and enjoyable.
ALL these were conceived and created by a human brain.
Most important thing to note here is that some of the owners of these
creative brains were considered as dull or average when they were
children!
14. We have become parents in a completely
different era than the one we grew up in.
probably our parents didn’t face much of
this problem than the challenges parents
face in the 21st century.
The challenges parents face in the 21st
century are much more difficult than
the previous generations of parenting.
Being a parent today is the most
satisfying and at the same time, the
most complicated task.
15. WHAT ARE THE PARENTING
CHALLENGINGS IN THE 21ST
CENTURY?
Mobile Phone Addiction:
No matter which country you
live in, this is the most common
challenge of the 21st century.
Your children can become prey
to the gadget’s energy in just a
few clicks
16. 1.It is impossible to completely avoid
screentime, but you can always
limit the timings dedicated to it.
2.Use parental control and monitor
what they watch and when they
watch without their knowledge.
3.Give them options to watch
educational entertainment videos
rather than the seamless animated
videos.
17. 2. Getting Them to Study
Children are moody. They
procrastinate a lot when it is
about completing their
homework or an exam is
coming up. Even if you want
them to be in touch with their
books, sometimes, it is very
difficult.
18. 3. Aggressive Child
This is one of the most challenging
parenting issues that drive the parents
crazy. When their actions go unchecked
continuously, they develop this habit of
being angry, screaming, breaking things
over little things.
19. 4. Disobedience
There are times when they start
refusing for anything you ask them
to do. Most parents think that this is
rudeness and they should be
punished were in fact, the children
are only trying to make their own
identity and opinion.
20. 5. Lying
One of the most painful
parenting problems;
lying. All children lie at
one or another point in
their lives.
21. 6. Constantly Complaining
Children are impulsive. They want
what they want. But, when they
don’t get it, they start whining
about your parenting patterns or the
ways that you have ignored them.
22. 7. Siblings Rivalry
Another one of the parenting issues
is the continuous fight among
siblings. They don’t like each other
no matter what you tell them. It
ruins the house environment and
you get in a lot of trouble mentally.
23. 8. Tantrums
Well, they learn it soon. But remember
there is a big difference between
whining and tantrums. When they are
throwing a tantrum, there is no reason
behind it. They mostly won’t even talk
to you about what is causing the trouble.
They just want what they want.
24. 9. Confidence Lacking
When children grow, they
meet other children and
fellows at school. Some are
too much confident in
engaging with other
children but others prefer
to avoid any
communication. These are
the ones lacking
confidence.
25. Improper Eating Habits
This is a common parenting
issue. They don’t tend to eat
the right thing at the right
time. Instead, they prefer an
unhealthy diet.
