2.1 Introduction of the Foundation
The Foundation is a charitable organization with no political affiliation and
religious creed, incorporated in Hong Kong in 2004 (IR File No. 91/7601).
It is based in Hong Kong with every effort to provide world-wide
humanitarian aid such as livelihood, education, medical assistance and so
on to every human being who is in need, beyond all the limit of natural
borders, regardless of nationality, race, sex, age, political affiliation,
creed.

2.2 Creation background of the books
-The cartoon characters are selected through the Cartoon Characters Design
Competition held by the Foundation at the end of 2011.

-Participated the “Love Ideas ♥ HK” campaign, which was launched by Li
Ka Shing Foundation on July 12, 2012, our foundation won the
championship in the public voting and the was granted sponsorship

-The Foundation compiled and published the cartoon book All about Ken I,
and My Ken’s Daily Handbook on the theme of moral education and
environmental protection
-Participated by a strong team with broad social network and rich
experience in publishing albums of painting and books, the program has

- Lectures were carried out by the Foundation with the theme of
environmental protection and moral education at Hog Kong La Salle
Primary School and Yan Chai Hospital Law Chan Chor Si Primary School;
- Officer of Environmental Protection from Hong Kong Environmental
Protection Department and Lecturer of Confucius Institute of Hong Kong
were invited as the speakers for the lectures;
- 4400 pieces of above mentioned cartoon books and handbooks were
distributed to a total of 2200 students in the two above-mentioned primary
schools

The Ambassador of Kingdom of Lesotho was invited as Guest of Honor to attend the lecture on June
21, 2013.

- Up to now, around 8000 books have been distributed to the public with
around 200,000 potential readers, and the number is increasing
continuously
Notes: Nearly 80 primary schools and secondary schools in Hong Kong with around
35,000 students already received our books donation; 15 schools in Macau and Taiwan
and Mainland China with nearly 200,000 students received our books donation,
excluding the potential readers of university libraries in Hong Kong, Mainland China
and Macau Public Library and visitors of Foundation website, Facebook and Sina Weibo

- The story has strongly represented positive values of the following: solidarity,
justice, friendship, cherishing and environmental protection awareness
- Vividly designed cartoon characters have achieved remarkable popularity
among
children in and out of Hong Kong such as Ken and his friends Fred, Fatty, Tung
tung, Grasshopper, Bobe, Black Widow (Spider) and Sea Slater.

Ken Tung Tung
Ken: 9 years old, a P.3 student in Hong Kong
Dreams Come True Primary School. Ken is a
positive and outgoing person, but
sometimes mischievous, he is brave,
creative, adventurous and love to help. He
has supernatural power, which he can talk
to living creatures.
Tung Tung: A friendly and enthusiastic girl
with amblyacousia, she is familiar with
environmental protection knowledge. She
learns her strength through
accomplishing mission of protecting the
Earth with Ken, and turns the sense of her
own inferiority into confidence.

Fatty Fred
Fred: Ken’s best friend, with very good
academic record in school. He is fearless
and enjoys going on every adventure
with Ken
Fatty: Timid and fat, but he is a generous
person. He has grown up in a rich family.

Grasshopper Bobe
Bobe: A magical creature with strong magic,
very adorable and gets along with Ken very
well. Ken successfully accomplishes his
mission of protecting the Earth and spreading
moral ideas with Bobe’s help.
Grasshopper: A proud and a bully, controlled
by the Black Widow of Kingdom of Spiders
and interfere Ken's mission

Black Widow Sea Slater
Black Widow: The ruler of Kingdom of
Spiders, cruel, with very powerful magic, it
dreams of controlling human through
obtaining natural power of the Earth.
Sea Slater: Works for Black Widow,
and has powerful magic, he is one
strong opponent against Ken.
26. 4. Heartwarming Stamp
Heartwarming stamp is produced by Hongkong Post and printed with our
cartoon figures, representing the moral value and environmental protection.
It can be used for local postage, stamp collection as well as ornament,
which is suitable for all kinds of promotional activities.
