What is blood pressure?
Blood pressure (English: blood pressure) is the pressure exerted on the
walls of the vessels by the blood flowing in the blood vessels. Arteries are
considered to be the tube-like structures that carry blood from the pumping
heart to all the tissues and organs of the body.

The main function of heart is to regulate the blood flow in the arteries by

and try to prevent complications. According to research conducted in the
Department of Pharmacology, University of Cologne, Germany, eating
chocolate and drinking black and green tea keeps blood pressure under
control. If further tests are needed, it can reduce the risk of a heart attack
by one-quarter and 40 percent of a stroke.

After reaching the doctor for examination, show your blood pressure only
after you have rested for at least five minutes. After a long walk, climbing

How to measure blood pressure high?
Sometimes the blood pressure is measured in two places, then the
difference is found, even if it is measured by the nurse, it comes less and
if it is measured by the doctor it is more. Many times if the blood pressure
is measured in the office, it comes more and less at home, it is called white
coat hypertension.
There is no urgent need to treat such elevated blood pressure. If the width
of the cuff placed in the arm of the sphygmomanometer is small, if it is
inflated slowly or very rapidly, then the blood pressure will be high. If the
bandage tied in the arm is not kept at the level of the heart, then the blood
pressure will be wrong.

the blood pressure will be wrong. Mercury's measuring instruments give
more accurate readings than electronic instruments.
Because of all these factors, it is necessary that once the blood pressure is
elevated, the medicine should not be started immediately. Blood pressure
should be measured at least three times every few days.
Therapy should only be started if the average of several readings is raised.
If the patient is in severe anxiety, the blood pressure will rise for a while.
Blood pressure will increase even after enough exercise.

What to do incase blood pressure high?
Sometimes there is a slight increase in blood pressure, such as (146/96)
then the medicine should not be taken immediately. Before this, for some
time, you should try to make changes in your lifestyle.
Its effect will be visible in 3 months. For this, firstly the amount of sodium
in the food should be reduced, generally people eat 10 grams of salt in a
day. It should be brought down to 3 grams. Avoid salty things like dalmoth,
pickle, papad completely.
Excess sodium in the body leads to water retention, which increases the
volume of the blood, due to which the blood pressure increases. Increase
potassium-rich things in the diet, such as fresh fruits, water, etc. Stop using
canned material.

The amount of calcium and magnesium in the diet should be balanced. Eat
plenty of fibrous substances, such as fruit peels, greens / bran flour /
isabgol etc. The amount of saturated fat (meat/vegetable ghee) should be
reduced.
Along with this, regular exercise should be done. Walking very briskly for
30 minutes continuously is the best exercise. Yoga/Meditation/Pranayama
should be done daily. If you smoke, then stop completely, weight should
be balanced and if you drink alcohol, do not drink more than a peg.
