2. Introduction
An honors graduate in sociology from Emory University,
Maral Cavner has interned with the Missouri Attorney
General’s office. A lover of travel, Maral Cavner has been to
many countries, including Scotland.
Though physically small, Scotland is a country teeming
with attractions. The open lush woodlands, charming
wildlife, windy moors, hundreds of castles, rich history,
and vibrant culture are just some of the reasons visitors fall
in love with the destination.
The country is located between the North Sea and Irish Sea
and is part of the United Kingdom.
3. Scotland
The country’s deep history is evident in its physical landmarks,
which include castles, ancient caves, and moors where some of
the most prominent battles were fought.
Scotland’s vibrant artistic culture is on display in the local music
festivals and in museums such as Glasglow’s Kelvingrove,
Aberdeen’s Maritime, and Dundee’s Discovery Point. Famed for
their delicious seafood and matured whiskey, moreover, Scottish
restaurants offer a rich serving of the two to give tourists a true
taste of Scotland.
The most visited attractions in the country include: Edinburgh
Castle, which was built in the 11th century; the romantic Isle of
Skye; and the mountainous Glencoe, a hiker’s paradise.
