Americorps is a program of the U.S. federal government engaging
adults in intensive community service work with the goal of “helping
others and meeting critical needs in the community”. In AmeriCorps,
you could be doing almost anything, including:

• Anyone ages 18 – 24 and a U.S. Citizen/National

• Transportation to & from campus is provided
• Living & Board is provided

• FEMA = Federal Emergency Management Agency
• FEMA Corps Members receive training in…

logistical support
• This program is great for anyone interested in Emergency
Management and want to gain experience in a professional
environment.
Team Leader Position
• No age limit, but must be at least 18 years old
• Must be a U.S. Citizen/National or lawful
permanent resident alien
• Must have a drivers license
• 11 month commitment to serve
• Prior experience with supervising or have
demonstrated leadership are sought
• Receive a living allowance of $12,500
• & The same benefits as a regular corps
member
Americorps VISTA
• FOCUS: Education, public safety, housing, civil rights, & employment
• At least 18 years of age
• U.S. citizen/national, or lawful permanent resident alien of the U.S.
• 1 yr. (365 days) of service (Summer Part Time Jobs may be available)
• Room & Board is not provided
• Bi-Weekly Living Allowance
• $5,730 Education Award OR $1,500 Cash
• Health Coverage
• Members relocating over 50 miles may be eligible
for relocation assistance
• Located in all 50 States
• Applications are accepted year-round
Americorps State & National
• FOCUS: Direct service in education, economic opportunity,
disaster services, healthy futures, environmental stewardship, &
veteran and military families
• Must at least 17 years of age
• 10 months of service
• $5,730 Education Award & an opportunity to receive
additional $$$
• Most programs provide a modest living allowance
• Room & Board is not provided
• Health Coverage
• All 50 states & D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico, & the Virgin Islands
• Applications are accepted year-round
