Gregorio Garcia The American GI Forum or AGIF is a congressionally recognized civil rights organization that was founded on March 26, 1948 in
Corpus Christi, TX. The American GI Forum focuses primarily on issues such as education, job placement, and civil liberties. To truly understand
the AGIF you must understand its history and fundamental principles on which the organization was founded. When Dr. Hector P. Garcia returned
from service in World War II he was eager to peruse the American Dream. What he encountered was deep rooted prejudices and resolved to
overcome these injustices. Dr. Garcia observed that as Hispanics many of his fellow veterans had difficulties receiving the educational, monetary, and
medical benefits that they were entitled to. He embraced the values that our country was founded on and worked tirelessly to break down the social
barriers he encountered and to ensure that all veterans received equal benefits and care regardless of ethnicity. On March 26, 1948 Dr. Garcia was

My sibling and I have very different personalities, nature resulted in conflict growing up. My sister Abbey and I are only eighteen months apart and

Knowing this, students from schools like that are less likely to go on to college and get an education. This then leads to them not getting good jobs
and making enough money to support themselves. I believe that this is an injustice because those students do not choose to go to schools like that, but
they get started off on the wrong foot right from the start. People look down on them because of the school they go to. The other thing I think about
when I hear the word social justice is Racism. Segregation is something that most people don't think is still a problem, but unfortunately it is. "They
view segregation as an unfortunate holdover from a racist past, one that is fading progressively overtime" (Massey 1). African American people that live
in rougher neighborhoods, Chicago for example, are usually in the lower socioeconomic class. Being an African American in the lower

The Forum Pompeii
The Forum Historians consider the Forum to be the 'centre of Pompeian life' therefore it is an important aspect to study as numerous buildings and
many events occurred there. From the latest evidence, it is believed that the Pompeian Forum was undergoing a 'comprehensive, vigorous and
ambitious post–earthquake restoration.' (Bradley. 2005, p.87). The Forum at Herculaneum, however, is still buried under the town of Resina and
therefore there is not enough physical evidence to provide a great depth of information. Studies were concentrated on the Forum at Pompeii. The Forum

described in Pompeii: The Vanished City (1992, p60) as being 'turned into a workshop, with uncut blocks of basalt and stonecutting tools, and other

eruption occurred. The Sanctuary of the Public Lares was located in the North–East of the Forum in Pompeii. The Lares Publici were the protectors of
the crossroads (compita). Historians argue whether the building was either commenced after the earthquake of 62 AD or almost fully reconstructed
as a dedication to the tutelary gods of Pompeii due to the recent misfortune. The architecture was quite unusual showing changing designs. The
temple had no roof and had a floor with coloured marble arranged in a geometric pattern. It had no wall on the Forum side that left it entirely open. It
could be entered through a portico adjoining the colonnade of the Forum. On entering the temple there was two alcoves where statues of the Lares
would most likely have stood. Remains show a centred altar. The rear wall reveals a niche where statues of the town's gods would have been
