우리는 그 어느 때보다 서로 결속되어 있으면서도 세계화된 시대에 살고 있습니다. 평화와 개발, 인권에
대한 고등교육기관의 노력은 더 이상 새로운 것이 아니지만, 공동의 목표를 탐험하며 실현하기 위해서는
글로벌 파트너십을 견고히 하는 데 더욱 힘써야 합니다. 이러한 일환에서 우리의 미래를 위하여 서로의
생각을 공유하고 창의적인 해결 방법을 모색하고자 『제2회 대학생 국제개발 논문경시대회와 글로벌
컨퍼런스』를 개최합니다. 세상을 바꾸는 의미 있는 행사에 국제 기구, 정부, 학계 관계자와 학생 여러분을
초대합니다.
반기문 유엔 사무총장은 2010년, 고등교육기관이 새천년개발목표(MDGs)와 유엔의 핵심 과제 수행에
활력을 불어넣는 데 도움을 줄 수 있도록 유엔 아카데믹임팩트(UNAI)를 만들었습니다. 현재 유엔
아카데믹임팩트는 전 세계 900여개의 학교를 회원으로 두고 있으며, 특히 한국에서는 2012년 유엔
아카데믹임팩트의 가치를 적극적으로 지원하며 시민사회와 대학, 정부 간의 파트너십 강화를 도모할 수
있는 유엔 아카데믹임팩트 한국협의회(AIK)가 설립되었습니다. 유엔 아카데믹임팩트 한국협의회는 유엔
아카데믹임팩트가 추구하는 바에서 더 나아가 기업가 정신, 세계시민 훈련, 녹색성장 교육 등의 분야에서
지속가능한 발전을 실현하기 위해 활발한 활동을 하고 있습니다.
작년에 성공적으로 개최된 『제1회 대학생 국제개발 논문경시대회』에 이어 올해 대회의 주제는 『
새천년개발목표(MDGs) 이후 새로운 개발목표에 대한 전망과 고등교육기관의 참여』입니다. 올해에도
장래가 촉망되는 젊은 학자들의 창의적이고 통찰력 있는 발표와 정부 및 비정부기구 소속의 인사가 펼치는
국제개발 특강이 진행될 예정입니다. 박수도 두 손이 마주쳐야 소리가 나듯이, 우리 모두가 국제 사회의
일원으로서 지적, 사회적 책임을 함께 짊어질 때 국제 사회는 발전할 것입니다. 제2회 대학생 국제개발
논문경시대회에 동참하시어 함께 더욱 나은 미래를 만들어가시지 않겠습니까?

We are living in a world that is ever more connected and globalized. The contribution of
education institutions to promote peace, development, and human rights is not new to us.
Yet, global partnership has to be strengthened in order to explore and realize our shared
goals. In this context, the 2nd United Nations Academic Impact Collegian Research Paper
Contest and Global Conference is to be held to share our thoughts and to bring creative
solutions for our future. We would like to invite students, professors, government officials,
and international civil servants to join this meaningful event to change the world.
The United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) has created in 2010 by the UN Secretary-Gen-eral
Ban Ki-moon to provide a platform to higher-education institutions to bring about
universally determined Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and UN’s core mandates.
The UNAI has now over 900 members throughout the world. However, in Korea, the Korean
Association in Support of UNAI, which has established in 2012, vigorously propels the UNAI
principles and put its effort to forward partnership building between civil societies, univer-sities
and government. It also focuses on the entrepreneurship, global citizenship training,
and green growth education in order to achieve sustainable development.
This year’s theme is « Prospects for Post-MDGs Framework and Global Engagement by
Universities. » Continuing our good legacy of the First UNAI Collegian Research Paper
Competition and Global Development Conference, the conference would be comprised of
creative and insightful presentations by young scholars and special lectures by government
officials and personnel from NGOs on the issue of global development. One hand cannot
make any clapping sound but two hands can. As a member of global community, we all
bear intellectual social responsibility. We kindly invite you to take meaningful steps by
joining this conference, a joint action to build better future.
