1. “Count Your Blessings”
When upon life’s billows
You are tempest tossed
When you are discouraged
Thinking all is lost.
Count your many blessings
Name them one by one
And it will surprise you
What the Lord has done
Chorus:
Count your blessings
Name them one by one
Count your blessings
See what God has done
Are you ever burdened
With the load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy
You are called to bear?
Count your many blessings
Every doubt will fly
And you will keep singing
As the days go by
So, amid the conflict
Whether great or small
Do not be discouraged
God is over all.
Count your many blessings
Angels will attend
Help and comfort give you
To your journey’s end.

Leader: The Mighty One, God, the Lord, speaks and summons
the earth from the rising of the sun to where it sets.
Congregation: From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.
L: Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before
him, and around him a tempest rages.
C: He summons the heavens above, and earth, that he may
judge his people.
L: “Gather to me this consecrated people, who made a
covenant with me by sacrifice.”
C: And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for he is a God
of justice.
L: “Listen, my people, and I will speak; I will testify against
you, Israel, I am, your God.
C: I bring no charges against you concerning your sacrifices or
concerning your burnt offerings, which are ever before me.
ALL: I have no need of a bull from you stall or of goats from
your pens, for every animal of the forest is mine, I know every
bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine.
