The official language of Thailand is Thai, which is closely related to Lao and languages in nearby countries. The most important person is King Rama IX, as Thailand is a monarchy. Some cultural traditions include the Rocket Festival celebrated by Lao ethnic groups and the Ghost Festival in Isan province. Thai culture is also expressed through foods like tom yum soup, green curry, and pad thai as well as arts such as wood carving, masks, and paintings. Buddhism is the dominant religion, along with Chinese folk religions and Tai folk religions. The government aims to preserve Thai national culture and identity.

 The official language of Thailand is Thai , A Siamese language
closely related to Lao , Shan in Burma , and numerous smaller
languages of Southern China and Northern Vietnam. Spoken
Thai is mutually intelligible with Lao ; the two languages are
written with slightly different scripts, but linguistically similar.

 The most important people in Thailand is
Phumiphon Adunyadet because he is the King of
Thailand and he is also known as Rama IX , as he is
the ninth monarch of the Chakri Dynasty.
 The Thai people , formerly known as Siamese are
the main ethnic group of Thailand.

 The Bun Bang Fai ( The Rocket Festival ) is a merit-
making ceremony traditionally practiced by
ethnic Lao people throughout much of Isan and
Laos near the beginning of the wet season.
 The Phi Ta Khon ( Ghost Festival ) is the most
common name for a group of festivals held in Dan
sai , Loie province Isan , Thailand.
