This document summarizes a research study that analyzed and compared the inaugural addresses of two South Korean presidents from different political ideologies: President Roh Moo-hyun (2003-2008) and President Lee Myung-bak (2008-2013). The study used textual analysis methods including KrKwic (Korean Key Words in Context) and K-LIWC (Korean Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count) to examine the linguistic characteristics and structures of the addresses. The results showed similarities and differences in the key issues and linguistic styles between the two presidents that reflected their differing political perspectives. The study concluded the methodology provided insights into how rhetorical substance and style relate to a president's political viewpoints.
