• STaR stands for School Technology and
  Readiness
• Rubric for assessing technology
  preparedness in Texas schools

• Online self assessment completed by
  individual teachers
• Gauges progress annually
• Tool used in technology planning and
  budgeting
• Evaluation tool of a campus’ and district’s
  efforts to effectively integrate technology
  across the curriculum.
How does it help us as a campus?

• Aides in creating our campus
  technology plan
• Helps to set benchmarks and goals
• Helps determine budget priorities
• Identify technology strengths and
