Political Motivation
• What motivates me?
• I care about my future economic status and I participate to vote
for politicians who preach low taxes and small government
• I care about National security and I vote for politicians who
advocate for my safety and protection.
• I want my taxes to remain low and strong policing and increased
border security.
3 Surprising Things I have Learned
• I did not know that there were different types of governments at
the city level
• I learned that there are two types of court, I thought it was all the
same thing
• I am surprised about the number of capital punishments that are
carried out in Texas.
My political issue: Weak Border Between
Texas and Mexico
• The weak border is my personal and Texas’s biggest issue,
considering that it is a border state in which the weak borders and
law enforcement allow mass illegal immigration, which lead to
many other issues. Future generations would want us to act on it
now before it gets more out of hands, because dangerous drugs,
cost, and other issues will increase dramatically due to our weak
border.
Texas’s National Influence
• I believe Texas is a huge factor in the economy, national security,
and natural recourses. This makes legislators and other
government agencies to always consider Texas in policy making
due to its massive size and demands. If Texas were to weaken or
economically unstable, it would have negative results on the
country as a whole.
The lessons I Have learned in this Class
• I have learned how the legal process works with civil and criminal
cases, so If I were ever to commit a crime I would know the exact
process and punishments that would I would have to go through.
• I learned how my city operates and about the governing body, and
I will now participate in local elections because they have a bigger
influence and impact than I initially thought they had.
