1. Dialogue with families and Counseling for Students and Parents
Over the past years, Sr. Teresa has dialogued with parents and students on a regular
basis at the request of principals/teachers and has succeeded in raising the quality of
relationship among parents and children and the performance of the students. This is
done to facilitate dialogue in the family. At Raisen, Bombay, New Delhi, Secunderabad
and other places, dedicated several hours with students meeting them personally
counseling each one in order to facilitate dialogue with their teachers and parents. An
individual meeting with young people followed by meetings with the families to find
ways to encourage dialogue and to accompany the young person in a better way is
done whenever necessary and possible.
Sr. Teresa conducted two seminars for parents: St. Anne’s Junior College -30 June 2012
on parent child relationship and harmony and dialogue and from 9 April -15 April 2013
for parents of Class VI – XII of Holy Child, Auxilium, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi on
dialogue, communication in the family and how to deal with teens. 26 July 2014 Sr.
Teresa addressed over 400 Parents during the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) meet at
Don Bosco School Boisar. She spoke on Parenting, the psychology of children, parent-
child relationship, healthy interactions in the family, the need to spend quality time
together and parent-teacher collaboration and net-working.
Orientation Programs
To facilitate systematic encounters with people Sr. Teresa Joseph focus on students,
parents and teachers because through education and educational institutions, it is
possible to initiate processes that bring true transformation of persons and the society at
large. She had more than 50 meetings during the course of 2015 itself with Principals
and Heads of Institutions to discuss the possibility to organize seminars and orientation
programs for teachers and students.
The following programs were conducted during 2012-2015
