The Telecom Italia Group saw revenues decline in 2013 to €23.4 billion due to weakness in the domestic market. EBITDA fell to €9.5 billion, largely because of the Italian operations which were impacted by aggressive price competition in mobile services and regulatory measures. The Group reported a net loss of €238 million for the year. Capital expenditures were €4.4 billion. Total assets were €70.2 billion and total equity was €20.2 billion at the end of 2013. The Brazilian operations contributed 30% of consolidated revenues and grew despite a slowdown in the Brazilian economy.
