Q. Does Cisco have any plans to develop a Cisco UCS® C4200 model that supports 3.5-inch drives?
A. We are looking into this type of model, but have not committed to development at this time.
Q. I’d like to have 3.5-inch drive support and would like to see open hyperconverged infrastructure options
for Cisco HyperFlex™ / VSAN / Nutanix. Does Cisco have any plans to support this?
A. There is no commitment to develop Cisco® HyperFlex w ith the Cisco UCS C125 Rack Server Mode at this time.
Q. Do you have plans to make Cisco UCS C4200 server available as compute nodes within a HyperFlex
cluster?
A. We are looking at this, but have no committed plans to date.
Q. Will Cisco adopter BU products use the UCS C4200 server in the future?
A. We have a few adopters exploring, but there are many adopters across Cisco.
Q. Can I run VMware ESXi on the Cisco UCS C42000 Rack Server Chassis? Is there a two-node option for
more storage-heavy nodes?
A. We do support this and you absolutely can run VMw are ESXi on the Cisco C4200.
