OVERTEC 5 FR is a black or amber polyamide resin specifically designed for
over-moulding. It has UL-V0 flammability rating (flame retardant) and excellent
electrical properties,
Components can be electrically insulated and sealed from water without the
need of housing or the use of slow 2-component casting/potting resins.
Low cost aluminium moulds can be designed to form Connectors, Grommets,
Strain Reliefs, IP protection and Housings for electrical and automotive
components such as cable glands, connector housings, PCB encapsulations,
sensors, and many other sealing applications
The component or cables are placed in the low cost tooling and OVERTEC 5
FR is injected using a specially designed glue gun that features both accurate
and adjustable temperature control to ensure consistent over-moulding..
Finished component cost, capital outlay and time to market can be reduced
significantly.

Overtec 5 FR mould tools are key to producing
parts fast. The aluminium tool conducts the heat
from the polyamide allowing fast curing times and
rapid de-moulding of parts. Typical de-mould times
are between 20 – 30 seconds per part (dependant
on shot size)
