Impacts of Technology on our Society
 The impact of technology on the society actually depends
on how people uses it and has impacted both
(i) Positively and,
(ii) Negatively
Positive Impacts
Communication
 Changes in communication technology over the last four
decades have been revolutionary.
 It has made communication easier around the globe.
 Newer advancements like texting and messaging apps
have spurred even more efficiency within workplace
communication.
 Everyday, newer communication devices are being release
Agriculture
 Technology has mechanized agriculture.
 Modern agricultural technologies such as
ploughing, sowing have allowed farmers to grow
vast quantities of food in a shorter lapse of
time.
 Manufacture of genetically modified crops which
are more resistant to several pests and diseases.
 For e.g. hybrid seeds can improve crop yields by
a factor of two or three in certain situations.

 Countries such as Egypt are now able to grow healthy
crops such as rice due to the advanced automated
sprinklers and water pumps which pumps water from River
Nile to the rice fields on a daily basis.

 Nowadays, education is much more easier thanks to the

transportation which include air, road, water, and space

 According to a study by researchers from Pontificia
Universidad Católica de Chile and Boston University found
that a 20 percent annual increase in Facebook enrollment
was associated with anywhere from a 2.18 percent to a
4.32 percent increase in divorce rates
