3. Theme
Our horror film’s theme is going to be ‘paranormal activity’. This means the horror and shock in the trailer will mainly be
supplied by the appearance of supernatural events.
All the deaths are linked, adds a mysterious element, along with shock factor, to make people want to watch the whole
trailer.
The conjuring 2 teaser trailer and the insidious trailers are two of the trailers that inspired us to choose the horror film. They
both contain the classic conventions of horror films, such as: sharp titles, added with the appropriate music, precise editing,
quick montage, sound effects, short dialogue, taglines, establishing shot, voice over etc.

4. Protagonist
Protagonist / antagonist - The last person standing- Callum, 2 other characters are the two to get killed off.
Personality - The leader of the group, dominant, intelligent
Traits / Character - Serious facial expressions, thoughtful
Behaviour - Mature
Performance - Loud, doesn’t have a hunched back, serious facial expressions.

5. Narrative
The trailer starts by revealing a dead body inside an abandoned house. The camera goes inside through the house. The
rest of the trailer is then a flashback to 3 teenagers who decide to explore the house. As the trailer goes on, more and more
of the characters experience various supernatural events, resulting in two of them being killed off. The last character is all
that remains, but is ultimately killed off as well, and is then revealed to be the dead body from the start of the trailer.

6. Synopsis
The characters go into an abandoned house and die off one by one. The last person standing is revealed to be the
character that we see dead at the beginning, USP, the audience may think that the character that they see dead first is the
first one to die.
They may be the last person
standing, but no one survives in
the end.
