The Project Makati Safe aims to employ a futures thinking approach to
proactively envision and construct a safer and more harmonious Makati
City, integrating emerging technologies, evolving social dynamics, and
sustainable practices while continuously adapting to ensure resilience
and well-being for all residents and stakeholders.

Futures Thinking Team that will ensure that all plans, programs and
activities of the city is in line with thinking the futures of the city.
This Team must be able to anticipate various crisis scenarios and
develop comprehensive response plans to respond to the potential
crisis.

This entails designing constructive, innovative and future ready
programs as to the needs of clients and employees. From the city’s
plans and programs down to barangay level must include futures
thinking and scenario planning.
Also, when it comes to the development of protocols and manuals,
futures and foresight tools and methodologies will be used for research
and policy development.
Include futures thinking activities during conduct of training and
workshops being conducted in the city to equip Makatizens with the
necessary skills in futures thinking and scenario planning to enhance
their capability to anticipate change in complex environments.

Mental health protection of students in
Makati City, wherein they will be
screened bi-annually with psychometric
evaluation. And base on the results,
referral for counseling or psychosocial
support will be given.
Installation of additional CCTVs, real
time monitoring software strategically
located and call & text helpline for
peace and order and public safety
concerns. And continuous
enhancement of capacities of
personnel in emergency response.
Installation of E-Billboard (Electronic
Billboard), TVs and speaker presenting
content rich materials on the processes
and services of different department,
offices, and NGAs as part of innovation
to CSC, ARTA, EODB and others.

Traffic Congestion Analysis:
• Conduct a comprehensive traffic congestion analysis in key areas of Makati City to
identify bottlenecks, traffic flow issues, and high-traffic zones.
• Collect data on peak traffic hours and congestion hotspots.
Public Transport Assessment:
• Evaluate the current state of public transportation services in
Makati City, including buses, jeepneys, rideshare and taxis.
• Analyze ridership data, passenger feedback, and operational
performance metrics.
Integrated Public Transport System:
1. Work with relevant agencies to create an integrated public transport
system that includes buses, jeepneys, tricycles, and possibly modernized
public utility vehicles.
2. Ensure seamless connectivity between different modes of public
transport.
Route Optimization:
• Utilize data analytics to optimize bus and jeepney routes based on demand
patterns and traffic conditions.
• Implement real-time updates to route information for passengers.

Modeling Singapore’s Proven Traffic Rules Enforcement and Penalties:
• Educating clear and uniform guidelines to enforcement officers regularly either
annual or bi annual basis
• ·Engage Public Awareness campaign and establish an information source for both
public and Enforcement officers.
• ·Review current penalties that will discourage public from violating the rules and
establishing repeat offenders to harsher penalties (Demerit/Suspension of
License/Permit or Community Service/Imprisonment)
• ·Annual Review Violation Data Trends and Public Feedback to improve regulation
