  – Notation in treble and
    bass clef
  – Chords
  – Key
  – Song form
  – Roman numeral notation
Assessment
• Projects
  – Prompt students to use topics
    learned in class.
  – The fewer guidelines, the better!
  – Always have them analyze their
    progressions.
• Chord Progression Analysis
  – In-class lead sheet analysis
  – “Find It” homework project
  – Always give them an opportunity
    to listen to the chord progression!
