DEPARTMENT: all duties performed by one person
Oversee 140 vehicles & over 250 drivers
Regulate and insure that each passenger’s riding experience is safe,
comfortable and convenient
Identifying and recommending solutions to problems as they occur
Establish and maintain records & files
Conduct hearings concerning ongoing violations of municipal
ordinances for Taxis, Liveries & Limousines
Process License Applications for all drivers and owners
Answer & follow up all constituent complaints against drivers
Confirm Insurance coverage with Insurance Companies & State of NJ
periodically
Conduct yearly vehicle inspections with Hoboken Police and NJ DMV
at City Garage
Update criteria and standards for owners and drivers
Conduct meetings with drivers and owners
Prepare Certificate of Insurance for each vehicle registration for DMV
Liaison for Hoboken Police Department regarding drivers & owners
Administer written exam for drivers.
Guide drivers with drug & alcohol preparation to be done at LabCorp.
Assist other municipalities
Report all revenues to the Finance Department
Redline ordinances for attorneys when needed
Prepare over 390 licenses manually (type, paste, laminate & cut)
