RELEASE MANAGEMENT – BUILD ENGINEER (2006 – PRESENT)
Monitors and tracks all software integration (builds), testing (QA) and release to customer for maintenance packs
(MPs) independently within scheduled timeframes and directs all activities of MP build personnel. We support 7
different releases concurrently.
• Key accomplishments:
• Coordinate the build/test/release of multiple releases simultaneously.
• Design and implement best coding branch practices to support continuous integration cycles.
• Track coordination of development, integration, activities like testing and validation, oversee system
upgrades and the release schedule.
• Identify and track cross-project dependencies within a release.
• Identify and track to closure any problems associated with the build or build tools.
• Coordinate with development teams to ensure any found regressions are fixed prior to release.
• Balance the need to minimize risk to release schedule, cost, and benefit with the need to accommodate
changing customer needs.
• Provide deployment leads with standards and time frames, work with release stakeholders to resolve
blocking release issues and ensuring issues are documented.
• Evaluate the existing environments, support the business and customer needs and improve existing
business by determining and carrying out new release processes, policies and practices.
• Train and mentor new team members
• Successfully increased number of builds by 62% over 8 years despite being the only member of build team.
