8. Girl child protection scheme is extended to SLTRs. Under this
scheme, a sum of Rs 50,000/- is being invested for 20 years in
case of a family with only one female child through Tamilnadu
Power Finance Corporation Ltd., towards Fixed deposit
(Maturity Value Rs.3,34,025/-) and a sum of Rs 25,000/- is

9. Social security scheme is extended to SLTRs. Under this
scheme monthly pension at the rate of Rs 1,000/- is being paid
to destitute categories viz. (1) widow (2) old aged (3)
differently abled (4) deserted wives and (5) unmarried women.

10. Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Memorial Women
Marriage Assistance scheme is also extended them. Under this
scheme women with degree/diploma qualification will get
4 gram gold plus Rs 50,000/- and other women will get
4 gram gold plus Rs 25,000/- as marriage assistances.

11. Free education for refugee students studying in Government
and Government-Aided schools in the State. They are also
provided with note books, text books, uniforms, noon meals
and bus passes at free of cost. All other benefits like bicycles,
laptops, special cash incentives, chapels, geometric box etc. are
also provided to them as per the norms applicable to the local
students.
