PROFESSIONAL DUTIES
Credit Manager
 Ensure adherence to the hotel’s credit policy.
 Reports directly to, and communicate with the Director of Finance & Business
Support Manager on all matters pertaining to credit, collection of guest and
city ledger accounts.
 Cooperates, coordinates and communicates with guests and other departments
in matters concerning issuance of credit, follow up outstanding accounts
and assisting with credit requirements.
 Interacts closely with the Credit Supervisor in reviewing and maintaining the
Aged Trial Balance of Accounts Receivable Filling System.
 Proactive management of any special billing arrangements for groups and
conventions as required ensuring that postings are in line with customer
requirements.
 Reviews city ledger accounts daily for correct postings of charges and take
corrective action where necessary.
 Monitor and pursue collection of overdue accounts.
 Ensure all collection efforts and visits by self & the credit team including the
bill collectors are documented in Opera notes with all details of the
conversation or meetings for future reference.
 Review bad debts accounts monthly to prepare for monthly provision for
doubtful debts.
 Prepare management reports for month end analysis.
 Review provision, write-offs and other adjustments prior to month end.
 Conduct monthly credit meeting with relevant team as identified in the hotel
credit policy highlighting monthly performance, bad debts, and staff
accounts outstanding and discuss any accounts causing concern and follow
up.

 Check & ensure that all long stay guest contracts are current and payment
terms are in order and communicate any risks to the Director of Finance/
Finance & Business Support Manager immediately so that corrective
action can be taken.
 Coordinate with the Assistant Finance & Business Support Manager prior to
the month-end closing for all city ledger adjustments.
 Regular visits to key accounts with the sales team to build relationship with
the bookers and the finance teams in order to obtain priority in our
payments.
Account Receivables Supervisor
 Prepare, verify and post the City Ledger
 Credit Card reconciliation
 Review, reconcile, and process credit card vouchers and advance deposits.
 Process refunds for overpayment or cancelled reservations.
 Research, respond to, and resolve credit card company and bank inquiries.
 Audit and reconcile all postings to ensure that back-up matches system.
 Conduct credit checks on direct billing requests as directed.
Night Auditor
 Checking the total revenue of the property before and after night run.
 GRR and DRR full publishing.
 Conducting internal audit and control in hotel outlets.
General Cashier
 Daily collection of Bank statement/Bank draft/Application from and within
the corresponding bank.
 Preparation of cash flowed contracts and updating them upon expiry
 Prepare cashier’s section of daily cash recapitulation and balance with Income
Journalist.
 Prepare the daily foreign exchange cash book and weekly summary using the
foreign exchange remittance summary form, for collection.
 Prepare daily bank deposit.
