2. Overview
• Tafta is a registered non-profit organisation dedicated to
serving the needs of Durban's elderly residents
• We provide the following services:
• suitable accommodation in our 14 buildings, including frail care
• support services, such as Meals on Wheels and Home Based Care, to enable older
persons to continue living in their own homes
• opportunities for social interaction, entertainment and activities through our
clubs and Lifestyle Centres
• All services are provided either free or at a nominal charge, and
we rely heavily on contributions from local businesses and
individuals

3. Have you ever felt lonely?
So many elderly people know how this feels,
especially those who have lost all family ... and as
the festive season approaches, it gets worse. Not
because they envy the excited plans of people
lucky enough to share the festive season with
loved ones – but because it’s a stark reminder of
their isolation.
That’s why the Festive Campaign that TAFTA hosts
– with support from friends like you – are much
more than the chance for elderly people to enjoy
a delicious meal and a gift.
It’s a chance for them to enjoy companionship,
love and a sense of belonging.

4. HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:
Imagine if everyone in our community did just one small thing to
make someone else happy – someone they don’t even know. We’d
create a little bit of heaven on earth!
