Symmetry is when an object can be split into identical halves or sections through lines or axes of reflection. There are different types of symmetry including line symmetry, where an object has equal halves that are mirror images, and axis of symmetry, where a line divides the object into matching sections. Symmetry is seen throughout nature in organisms like butterflies and flowers, as well as in human-made structures such as India Gate, Lotus Temple, Hawa Mahal, and Humayun's Tomb, which can have vertical, horizontal, or diagonal lines of reflective symmetry.
