The 4th graders from Sylvanie Williams College Prep Elementary will celebrate the release of their new books Zombie Tales and The Times Spookayune at the Zeitgeist Theater on May 19th from 10 AM to 12 PM. The young writers will read from their stories and sign books for fans. Light refreshments will be served and each student will receive a copy of the book, with extra copies available for $5 with proceeds supporting Big Class's creative writing programs.

The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame will display the traveling exhibit "Apron Chronicles: A Patchwork of American Recollections" from January 7th to April 3rd. The exhibit tells the stories of over three dozen men and women through photographs and their recollections of the women in their lives who wore aprons. It explores the people behind the aprons and their meaning through over 100 vintage aprons. Additionally, select restaurants have donated autographed aprons that will be raffled off to raise funds for the museum's education programs.

Linda was fascinated to learn she was related to the designer of lamps she had always loved. She has given 87 unsolicited presentations about Clara's life and accomplishments and hopes the reader learns more about Clara through the books written about her exciting story.

On August 20th, over 20 volunteers helped paint the 42nd building as part of the "Let's Paint the Town" program. A local news station covered the story, which aired on Saturday evening. Volunteers are invited to help finish painting Lance's Landscaping on August 28th by meeting there at 7am. Those interested in volunteering or learning more can call or email the provided contact.
