When growing up, children grow up wishing to be doctors, lawyers, surgeons, engineers or pilots mostly because these careers are regarded as high prestige in the society. However, very few of them desire to be teachers due to the perception that it is tiresome, low paying and requires a lot of work input. However, teaching is one of the most exciting jobs since it gives on a chance to help mold future career paths of different specialists such that in one class, it can consist of over fifty careers. Alternatively, good teachers act as role models due to their constant advice, sharing’s on life experiences and challenging students not to limit themselves to small achievements. As such, even as students go about their daily activities or after school, they always remember the teachings of a particular teacher and relate the activities thus being able to make better choices. Alternatively, the joy of teaching emanates from seeing other people make it in life or achieve their dreams and associating with their success.
The person who led me to consider a turning point was Peter Banks, my high school English teacher. He was inspiring in his lessons which he taught through life experiences and although he lacked technical expertise, when he talked, everyone played attention since he would communicate emotionally and make the whole process exiting using facial expressions, voice variations and using rhetorical questions which led us to think critically. Before he came along, English lessons were boring since we would lead literature books throughout the lessons, a process that had become tiring and monotonous which resulted to fall in grades. By good luck, the board of education showed concern on the issue and terminated the previous teacher. Peter would come to class, ask everyone to close their books and ask us to write what was on our thoughts even though it was ridiculous which would then discuss as a class. One of his major lessons was learning to write based on feelings as a way of being truthful to oneself and aiding the reader to form a connection.
Most teachers want to come to class, give assignments and wait for the time to lapse especially at the beginning of an academic year. However, this was not the case for Peter who would use any available chance to counsel us on what to expect in college and how to cope. He would share stories of his college life and in one particular case, he told us about the first time he was late for an exam because he overslept but he lied to the professor that he had fainted on the way to class and had to be rushed to the campus clinic. As such, Banks taught us on the importance of honest and ways of avoiding misconducts in future which could result in huge implications. When growing up, children grow up wishing to be doctors, lawyers, surgeons, engineers or pilots mostly because these careers are regarded as high prestige in the society. However, very few of them desire to be teachers due to the perception that it is tiresome, low paying and requires a lot of work input. However, teaching is one of the most exciting jobs since it gives on a chance to help mold future career paths of different specialists such that in one class, it can consist of over fifty careers. Alternatively, good teachers act as role models due to their constant advice, sharing’s on life experiences and challenging students not to limit themselves to small achievements. As such, even as students go about their daily activities or after school, they always remember the teachings of a particular teacher and relate the activities thus being able to make better choices. Alternatively, the joy of teaching emanates from seeing other people make it in life or achieve their dreams and associating with their success.
The person who led me to consider a turning point was Peter Banks, my high school English teacher. He was inspiring in his lessons which he taught through life experiences and although he lacked technical expertise, when he talked, everyone played attention since he would communicate emotionally and make the whole process exiting using facial expressions, voice variations and using rhetorical questions which led us to think critically. Before he came along, English lessons were boring since we would lead literature books throughout the lessons, a process that had become tiring and monotonous which resulted to fall in grades. By good luck, the board of education showed concern on the issue and terminated the previous teacher. Peter would come to class, ask everyone to close their books and ask us to write what was on our thoughts even though it was ridiculous which would then discuss as a class. One of his major lessons was learning to write based on feelings as a way of being truthful to oneself and aiding the reader to form a connection.
Most teachers want to come to class, give assignments and wait for the time to lapse especially at the beginning of an academic year. However, this was not the case for Peter who would use any available chance to counsel us on what to expect in college and how to cope. He would share stories of his college life and in one particular case, he told us about the first time he was late for an exam because he overslept but he lied to the professor that he had fainted on the way to class and had to be rushed to the campus clinic. As such, Banks taught us on the importance of honest and ways of avoiding misconducts in future which could result in huge implications. For those of us who loved writing, he encouraged us to read most of the books in the library and analyze them amongst ourselves. Peter also supported talented individuals.

really does love us and care about us
as his messengers of grace. i cannot
say this book is for every pastor, but i
do recommend it for the young pas-
tors, new pastors, and discouraged
pastors who are on the verge of giv-
ing up. i believe the author accom-
plished what he set out to accom-
plish.

Abstract
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to conduct a systematic review of the sustainable supply
chain management (SSCM) literature in the principal logistics and supply chain management journals,
across a 20-year time frame.
Design/methodology/approach – The authors use a systematic literature review methodology.
This methodology allows for the minimization of researcher bias and the maximization of reliability
and replicability. The study’s empirical validity is further enhanced by demonstrating high levels of
inter-coder reliability across families of codes.
Findings – The field of SSCM has evolved from a perspective and investigation of standalone
research in social and environmental areas; through a corporate social responsibility perspective; to
the beginnings of the convergence of perspectives of sustainability as the triple bottom line and the
emergence of SSCM as a theoretical framework. While the SSCM research has become more
theoretically rich and methodologically rigorous, there are numerous opportunities for further
advancing theory, methodology, and the managerial relevance of future inquiries.
Research limitations/implications – The trends and gaps identified through our analysis allow
us to develop a cogent agenda to guide future SSCM research.
Practical implications – The current perspectives of SSCM hold important implications for
managers, by directing limited resources toward projects which intersect environmental and/or social

A survey is a study designed to determine the incidence, frequency, and distribution of certain characteristics in a population. Some of the characteristics might include opinions,
attitudes, or previous experiences using self-report responses. Surveys are either sample surveys or census surveys. Usually, a sample is taken from a population, often called a
descriptive or normative survey. Census surveys are usually conducted when a population is relatively small and readily accessible. Once the responses are tabulated they are
summarized in percentages, frequencies, or indices. Surveys often are depicted as snapshots, or moments captured in a particular frame of time. There are other types of surveys,
e.g., geological or inventory types, but here we are focusing on those done with humans. Surveys can be categorized by instrumentation or by span of time involved. Instrumentation
designs include interviews or questionnaires either of which might be conducted orally or in writing. The span of time needed to complete a survey might be cross-sectional for
information at single period in time to compare variables, or longitudinal with multiple data collection points over an extended period to examine changes. A key aspect, then, is the
number of times the survey is administered. Cross-sectional surveys have the advantage of providing data relatively quickly. However, cross-sectional surveys do not provide a broad
perspective to inform decisions about reliably changing systems, or to understand trends over time.

Abstract: Efficient decision making based on business intelligence (BI) is essential to ensure
competitiveness for sustainable growth. The rapid development of information and communication
technology has made collection and analysis of big data essential, resulting in a considerable increase
in academic studies on big data and big data analysis (BDA). However, many of these studies are
not linked to BI, as companies do not understand and utilize the concepts in an integrated way.
Therefore, the purpose of this study is twofold. First, we review the literature on BI, big data,
and BDA to show that they are not separate methods but an integrated decision support system.
Second, we explore how businesses use big data and BDA practically in conjunction with BI through
a case study of sorting and logistics processing of a typical courier enterprise. We focus on the
company’s cost efficiency as regards to data collection, data analysis/simulation, and the results from
actual application. Our findings may enable companies to achieve management efficiency by utilizing
big data through efficient BI without investing in additional infrastructure. It could also give them
indirect experience, thereby reducing trial and error in order to maintain or increase competitiveness.

1. Introduction
A growing number of corporations depend on various and continuously evolving methods of
extracting valuable information through big data and big data analysis (BDA) for business intelligence
(BI) to make better decisions. The term “big data” refers to large amounts of information or data at
a certain point in time and within a particular scope. However, big data have a short lifecycle with
rapidly decreasing effective value, which makes it difficult for academic research to keep up with their
fast pace. In addition, big data have no limits regarding their type, form, or scale, and their scope is
too vast to narrow them down to a specific area of study.
Big data can also simply refer to a huge amount of complex data, but their type, characteristics,
scale, quality, and depth vary depending on the capabilities and purpose of each company.
The same holds for the reliability and usability of the results gathered from analysis of the data.
Previous studies generally agree on three main properties that define big data, namely, volume,
velocity, and variety, or the “3Vs” [1–4], which have recently been expanded to “5Vs” with the ad.

say this book is for every pastor, but i

Abstract
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to conduct a systematic review of the sustainable supply
chain management (SSCM) literature in the principal logistics and supply chain management journals,
across a 20-year time frame.
Design/methodology/approach – The authors use a systematic literature review methodology.
This methodology allows for the minimization of researcher bias and the maximization of reliability
and replicability. The study’s empirical validity is further enhanced by demonstrating high levels of
inter-coder reliability across families of codes.
Findings – The field of SSCM has evolved from a perspective and investigation of standalone
research in social and environmental areas; through a corporate social responsibility perspective; to
the beginnings of the convergence of perspectives of sustainability as the triple bottom line and the
emergence of SSCM as a theoretical framework. While the SSCM research has become more
theoretically rich and methodologically rigorous, there are numerous opportunities for further
advancing theory, methodology, and the managerial relevance of future inquiries.
Research limitations/implications – The trends and gaps identified through our analysis allow
us to develop a cogent agenda to guide future SSCM research.
Practical implications – The current perspectives of SSCM hold important implications for
managers, by directing limited resources toward projects which intersect environmental and/or social
performance, and economic performance.
Originality/value – The paper provides a systematic, rigorous, and methodologically valid review
of the evolution of empirical SSCM research across a 20-year time period.

· either too slow in our decisions to be careful, and this allows the other guy to do things faster and thus better than us,
· or we are either too hasty in our decisions, and this leads to costly errors.
For crisis communication, preparation guarantees orientation
· In a crisis, you job is not to minimize the stockholder expense, it is to maximize the company's chances of survival. You need to limit the cost, but also you need to limit the damage to the company's reputation and credibility.
· You need to react as quickly as a crisis breaks.
· By acting quickly, and doing immediately the things you are eventually have to do anyway, you maximize your chances of staying ahead of events where you have some chance to influence the story.
What's the DEAL?
An effective crisis communications plan should:
· Define response strategies that can be implemented when a crisis occurs;
· Assign crisis communications resources and responsibilities;
· Enable you to reach target audiences with key messages, and
· Launch public information and media relations campaigns immediately during a crisis.
In a crisis tell it all, tell it fast and tell the truth.

development of items used, and overall survey design and administration will be the subject of interest. The second component of the module is about correlation analysis. Included

A survey is a study designed to determine the incidence, frequency, and distribution of certain characteristics in a population. Some of the characteristics might include opinions,
attitudes, or previous experiences using self-report responses. Surveys are either sample surveys or census surveys. Usually, a sample is taken from a population, often called a
descriptive or normative survey. Census surveys are usually conducted when a population is relatively small and readily accessible. Once the responses are tabulated they are
summarized in percentages, frequencies, or indices. Surveys often are depicted as snapshots, or moments captured in a particular frame of time. There are other types of surveys,
e.g., geological or inventory types, but here we are focusing on those done with humans. Surveys can be categorized by instrumentation or by span of time involved. Instrumentation
designs include interviews or questionnaires either of which might be conducted orally or in writing. The span of time needed to complete a survey might be cross-sectional for
information at single period in time to compare variables, or longitudinal with multiple data collection points over an extended period to examine changes. A key aspect, then, is the
number of times the survey is administered. Cross-sectional surveys have the advantage of providing data relatively quickly. However, cross-sectional surveys do not provide a broad
perspective to inform decisions about reliably changing systems, or to understand trends over time.
Longitudinal surveys, though, require an extended period of time to study an issue. Longitudinal surveys are categorized into four types – trend surveys address a .

Abstract: Efficient decision making based on business intelligence (BI) is essential to ensure
competitiveness for sustainable growth. The rapid development of information and communication
technology has made collection and analysis of big data essential, resulting in a considerable increase
in academic studies on big data and big data analysis (BDA). However, many of these studies are
not linked to BI, as companies do not understand and utilize the concepts in an integrated way.
Therefore, the purpose of this study is twofold. First, we review the literature on BI, big data,
and BDA to show that they are not separate methods but an integrated decision support system.
Second, we explore how businesses use big data and BDA practically in conjunction with BI through
a case study of sorting and logistics processing of a typical courier enterprise. We focus on the
company’s cost efficiency as regards to data collection, data analysis/simulation, and the results from
actual application. Our findings may enable companies to achieve management efficiency by utilizing
big data through efficient BI without investing in additional infrastructure. It could also give them
indirect experience, thereby reducing trial and error in order to maintain or increase competitiveness.

1. Introduction
A growing number of corporations depend on various and continuously evolving methods of
extracting valuable information through big data and big data analysis (BDA) for business intelligence
(BI) to make better decisions. The term “big data” refers to large amounts of information or data at
a certain point in time and within a particular scope. However, big data have a short lifecycle with
rapidly decreasing effective value, which makes it difficult for academic research to keep up with their
fast pace. In addition, big data have no limits regarding their type, form, or scale, and their scope is
too vast to narrow them down to a specific area of study.
Big data can also simply refer to a huge amount of complex data, but their type, characteristics,
scale, quality, and depth vary depending on the capabilities and purpose of each company.
The same holds for the reliability and usability of the results gathered from analysis of the data.
Previous studies generally agree on three main properties that define big data, namely, volume,
velocity, and variety, or the “3Vs” [1–4], which have recently been expanded to “5Vs” with the ad.

On the evening in question, Susie got a ride with Orson to the Elsewhere City Park, where she met her friend, Jerry, and his girlfriend, Kate. Orson said he would pick Susie up at 11:00 p.m. when the park closed. Jerry was a minor who had only been licensed to drive for a few months. He was driving a small truck, the bed of which was covered by a camper shell. At 11:00 p.m. they were approached by Officer Ruthless of the Elsewhere Police Department, who told them they had to leave the park since there was a curfew and the park was closing. Jerry and Kate got into the truck and Ruthless told Susie to get in the back of the truck. (This state allowed people to ride in the backs of camper trucks without seatbelts.) Susie told Ruthless she wanted to wait for Orson, or she could walk home, but Ruthless told her to get in the truck. Ruthless told Jerry: "Get everybody out of here," and that "if you guys don't get out of here, curfew will be enforced." After leaving the park, Jerry made two stops, one just four doors down from Susie's house. Susie did not leave the truck. Jerry lost control of his truck while making a left turn and Susie was seriously injured when the truck overturned. Approximately one-half hour ensued between the time the group left the park area and the time of the accident. Following the accident, Susie filed a complaint against the City of Elsewhere, Ruthless, and a number of other defendants. The complaint alleged that the City and Ruthless were liable because Ruthless had negligently ordered Suzie to ride in the back of the truck. - 2. Ruthless ordered us to leave the park, I told him that I only lived up the street, and could walk home. Officer Ruthless paid no attention to me, he did not acknowledge what I said, he just ordered everyone to get into the truck. If I had been given a choice, I would have waited for Orson, or walked home from the park. Ruthless did not give me any alternative to riding in the back of Jerry's truck. But for that, I wouldn't have ended up in traction and missed the first semester of my senior year. Name: Officer Ruthless Title: Defendant Gender: Male, about 35 It's the law that minors have an 11:00 p.m. curfew, and the park closes at 11:00 p.m. Jerry, Kate, and Susie were together, and Jerry had no problem with giving Susie a ride. I had no idea when Orson might arrive, and I couldn't wait around at the park, since I had other duties. I also didn't think it was safe for Susie to walk a mile home that late at night. Those kids rode around for half an hour after they left the park, and Susie could easily have gotten home when Jerry made his second stop. You are the judge in the case.
