This one-day workshop will introduce the pathway that financial service providers can take to enhance their social performance management (SPM) practices, using the Universal Standards for Social Performance Management (“Universal Standards”) as a framework for improving practice. Case studies and activities will make the day as interactive as possible. The target audience for this workshop is associations and direct service providers.
The day will start by quickly defining SPM and exploring its importance to an institution’s clients and business. Participants will take a deeper look at the Universal Standards and learn how to use the SPI4 Audit Tool to assess their current level of implementation of the Universal Standards. We will also discuss key resources available to help financial service providers institute changes after they assess themselves.
This course will prepare microfinance practitioners to understand and provide financial and non-financial services to rural and urban youth. The course will introduce participants to best practices for serving youth, help them to understand the differences between rural and urban youth financial service provision, and detail specific products and service delivery models. To ground the information in concrete examples, the training will also involve a live case study component, where participants will be able to engage with representatives of financial institutions in the MENA region that are currently offering financial services to youth.

The nations of the world have agreed to the Sustainable Development Goals, goals such as eradicating extreme poverty, eliminating preventable child deaths, and ensuring all children complete secondary school all by 2030. In this training you will learn how to empower your clients to use their voices as citizens on issues that matter in their lives, the lives of community members, and across their nation. By helping clients influence village leaders and members of Parliament through advocacy, we will make the SDGs real.

USDA Loans in California: A Comprehensive Overview.pptxmarketing367770
USDA Loans in California: A Comprehensive Overview
If you're dreaming of owning a home in California's rural or suburban areas, a USDA loan might be the perfect solution. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) offers these loans to help low-to-moderate-income individuals and families achieve homeownership.
Key Features of USDA Loans:
Zero Down Payment: USDA loans require no down payment, making homeownership more accessible.
Competitive Interest Rates: These loans often come with lower interest rates compared to conventional loans.
Flexible Credit Requirements: USDA loans have more lenient credit score requirements, helping those with less-than-perfect credit.
Guaranteed Loan Program: The USDA guarantees a portion of the loan, reducing risk for lenders and expanding borrowing options.
Eligibility Criteria:
Location: The property must be located in a USDA-designated rural or suburban area. Many areas in California qualify.
Income Limits: Applicants must meet income guidelines, which vary by region and household size.
Primary Residence: The home must be used as the borrower's primary residence.
Application Process:
Find a USDA-Approved Lender: Not all lenders offer USDA loans, so it's essential to choose one approved by the USDA.
Pre-Qualification: Determine your eligibility and the amount you can borrow.
Property Search: Look for properties in eligible rural or suburban areas.
Loan Application: Submit your application, including financial and personal information.
Processing and Approval: The lender and USDA will review your application. If approved, you can proceed to closing.
USDA loans are an excellent option for those looking to buy a home in California's rural and suburban areas. With no down payment and flexible requirements, these loans make homeownership more attainable for many families. Explore your eligibility today and take the first step toward owning your dream home.

what is the future of Pi Network currency.DOT TECH
The future of the Pi cryptocurrency is uncertain, and its success will depend on several factors. Pi is a relatively new cryptocurrency that aims to be user-friendly and accessible to a wide audience. Here are a few key considerations for its future:
Message: @Pi_vendor_247 on telegram if u want to sell PI COINS.
1. Mainnet Launch: As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Pi was still in the testnet phase. Its success will depend on a successful transition to a mainnet, where actual transactions can take place.
2. User Adoption: Pi's success will be closely tied to user adoption. The more users who join the network and actively participate, the stronger the ecosystem can become.
3. Utility and Use Cases: For a cryptocurrency to thrive, it must offer utility and practical use cases. The Pi team has talked about various applications, including peer-to-peer transactions, smart contracts, and more. The development and implementation of these features will be essential.
4. Regulatory Environment: The regulatory environment for cryptocurrencies is evolving globally. How Pi navigates and complies with regulations in various jurisdictions will significantly impact its future.
5. Technology Development: The Pi network must continue to develop and improve its technology, security, and scalability to compete with established cryptocurrencies.
6. Community Engagement: The Pi community plays a critical role in its future. Engaged users can help build trust and grow the network.
7. Monetization and Sustainability: The Pi team's monetization strategy, such as fees, partnerships, or other revenue sources, will affect its long-term sustainability.
It's essential to approach Pi or any new cryptocurrency with caution and conduct due diligence. Cryptocurrency investments involve risks, and potential rewards can be uncertain. The success and future of Pi will depend on the collective efforts of its team, community, and the broader cryptocurrency market dynamics. It's advisable to stay updated on Pi's development and follow any updates from the official Pi Network website or announcements from the team.

University Meets Microfinance:
Challenges
Institutionalization
Technology
Global
Linking Researchers & Practitioners
Editor's Notes
University Meets Microfinance (UMM) is a European initiative which fosters cooperation between European universities, students in Europe and microfinance practitioners to contribute to microfinance innovation and education for development.
Previous to UMM PlaNet Finance had strong links and existing cooperation with Universities in Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Belgium and Portugal. In France, PlaNet Finance organized regular workshops at Universities like Paris Dauphine or Cergy Pontoise. In Germany, PlaNet Finance already provided practical mentorships to students from the European School of Management ESCP-EAP or the Fachhochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (FHTW), in close cooperation with professors. PlaNet Finance participated in a microfinance seminar organized at the Free University, its partner for the project.
In 2005, the European Microfinance Programme was launched by the three universities Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB, SBS-EM), Paris Dauphine and Wageningen and by PlaNet Finance, in response to the growing demand for training in development activities, particularly in microfinance. PlaNet Finance also developed its own Training Centre based in Paris (which was called Planet University), where regular trainings were organized with the participation of senior experts and specialists of Microfinance and Banking.
Free University Berlin is recognized as one of the leading German universities (2006 Excellency Award). Its Institute for Latin American Studies has been offering a special course on microfinance for more than 20 years. Every year, some students write papers on microfinance, which have unfortunately not been enough diffused until now. Prof. Manfred Nitsch (emeritus) has long-standing experience in microfinance and has written several books on the topic.
UMM was created in 2009 by PlaNet Finance and Freie Universitat Berlin to respond to a rapidly growing interest by students and academics in the field of microfinance as well as an increasing need for knowledge creation and dissemination. At the time more and more universities were contacting PlaNet Finance for conferences and courses or wanted to conduct case studies of projects.
2010 : European Microfinance Platform through the UMM Action Group- brings together practitioner organizations and universities
Today, UMM has grown thanks to the support and trust of partners such as the European Union, the European Microfinance Platform, the GIZ on behalf of the BMZ, the Agence Francaise de Developpement, the European Investment Bank Institute, Free University of Berlin and the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. In 2010, PlaNet Finance and the European Microfinance Platform jointly set up the e-MFP “UMM” Action Group to further enhance education and student research on financial inclusion themes.
European Microfinance Platform through the UMM Action Group created in 2010- brings together practitioner organizations and universities
40 European universities and research centers in 7 European countries: (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom)
SC: 80 practitioners from 40 organizations and 60 academic members from 40 European universities and research institutions
Students in Europe: % European %African %Asian %Latin American
-studying in the field of economics, finance, social sciences, international relations, interested in researching issues linked to microfinance as part of their curriculum (thesis paper, mémoire de DESS ou doctorat , Diplomarbeit / Doktorarbeit in Germany) and interested to gain field experience in developing countries.
Overall objective(s)
1) Increase knowledge and competencies on microfinance among students, universities and interested stakeholders
2) Foster field experience of students from European universities in developing countries
3) Contribute to solve difficulties poor people face to have access to the financial services they need
4) Make developing countries benefit from enhanced cooperation between practitioners and universities
Specific objective

We partner with universities to conduct lectures and seminars on microfinance based on approximately 20 modules that UMM has created over the years, which utilize relevant research, case studies, group exercises, multimedia resources and provide students with relevant literature produced from both the academic and practitioner communities.
over 40 seminars at 20 different universities Europe wide
1732 students have participated in UMM Seminars
ToT: UMM also conducts a training of trainers on our teaching methodology and modules. In the past the ToT was for anyone with an interest to teach microfinance, including practitioners, however this year we will focus more on supporting universities who are interested in introducing microfinance courses to their curriculum.

Dissemination of information through internet
Microfinance Seminars to Programs through continued ToTs and continued knowledge creation and dissemination
Support universities with the resources to develop microfinance seminars and eventually long term programs- resources including capacity development and funding
high quality academic publications that are relevant to practitioners
Networks
Important to continue knowledge exchange between academics and practitioners to ensure that research remains relevant and the field programs learn from quality studies
Synergies
Within Europe the aim is that Universities and Practitioners find mutually beneficial roles and create linkages that promote improved educational programs at the same time as improving practices in the field
Microfinance Education and Technology
We see a demand for high quality microfinance education around the world and especially in developing countries.
Advanced courses on poverty, development and inclusive financial services through eLearning platforms, contributes to the professionalization of people working in the field
Technology
Technology offers cost-effective solutions for universities to provide courses and/or trainings and to increase outreach.
Also enables microfinance organizations around the world to gain access to educational tools and information to conduct studies and evaluations of programs.
Replication of the UMM program in other regions
can be adapted to the needs of each region to focus on supporting the development of educational and training programs for employment but also in developing local human capacity in areas like research and project management
