Nyanasree Edumban completed a 3-month internship with PETRONAS where she demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and dedication to learning. During her internship she helped troubleshoot issues with offshore crude oil pumps and compressors. She conducted research, data analysis, and presented her findings to committees. Nyanasree also led site visits and familiarized herself with technical standards. Her supervisor believes she has the potential to become a fine engineer and that she will perform her duties well.

Miss Nyanasree Edumban was attached to PCSB Sarawak operations for her internship training for the
past three months. As her internship supervisor, I have witnessed her dedication to good work,
professionalism and empathy.
She is motivated, learns quickly and is adaptable. During a short amount of time, I have tasked her
with solving a problem involving a crude oil transfer pump on an offshore facility. With my guidance,
Nyanasree understood the issues and proposed solutions. She performed the data gathering and pre-
reading with great enthusiasm. One of the solutions to the problem involved contacting various pump
vendors in the market, which she easily did. Finally, she presented the findings to the Facilities
lmprovement Proposal Review Committee where the recommendation to proceed with modification
was accepted.
She was also involved in troubleshooting a compressor on another offshore facility. Here she was
required to perform process simulation using HYSYS software to find if there was excess water in the
compressor. She successfully completed the task, delivering a written technical report on the matter.
Other than that, she has taken the initiative to lead the site visit at onshore facilities, Asam Paya
Wellhead and MiriCrude OilTerminalto learn more about upstream onshore and {1-'rminaloperations.
She has also familiarised herself with the Petronas Technical Standard and API 6L0 for pumps. She has
also conducted a sharing session regarding pump sizing and taken the initiative to be MC for the
lntegrity Engineering Department sharing session.
Nyanasree is good natured, disciplined and helpful. Any team will benefit from having her as part of
it. I believe she has what it takes and that she can be moulded into becoming a fine engineer. Rest
assured that, she would perform her duties well.
