2. PETER PARKER
Bad eyesight could be seen
as a weakness. This is ironic
because when he has
superpowers he is the most
powerful.
Collar is up suggesting
he is not bothered
about his appearance.
Parker’s
jacket
and
sweater is of a blue shade.
The color blue is often
associated with depth and
stability.
It
symbolizes
trust, loyalty, wisdom, confi
dence, intelligence, faith
and truth. This is really
effective as when he
eventually
possesses
superpowers he still consists
of these aspects as his
personality.
Before his superpowers Peter
wears huge glasses which
stereotypically would
suggest that he is geeky
and possibly intelligent.
Peter Parker’s ethnic
identity is White. From our
research we found out that
ALL superhero's are usually
white. This is why we will
subvert this stereotype by
making our superhero of a
Asian ethnic background.
Hair is combed neatly and kept
to one side. This shows him as
someone who is well kept and
very unique from the others.
Blue is a masculine
color.
3. BATMAN
Bruce Wayne’s
ethnicity is white
which conforms the
stereotype that all
superheroes are
usually from the same
ethnic identity.
We are going to
subvert this by using a
Asian actor.
His hair is neat and
combed nicely
suggesting that he
takes care of his
appearance.
Suit and tie portrays
that his sophisticated
and a business man.
4. HULK
His wearing a shirt
which again reflects
upon Bruce Wayne.
The first buttons of his
shirt are open making
him look relaxed and
very laid back.
His hair is combed
similar
to
Peter
Parker. This articulates
the fact that all the
actors care about
their appearance.
